Hi
I have started selling again, but I am avoiding Ebay for now, I don't like their new regulations.
I have to admit I am a little frustrated on ioffer.
I have listed about 20 collectibles somewhat on the high side but with "Make an offer". I got no hit in 2 weeks.
2) What in the world is this search engine they got there?
It doesn't return the same stuff twice, I mean I search my items with keywords I used to list and 3 of my items come up, then I do the search again and none come up?
Then quite often the search engine will return like "97 items" but it does not show the items, only "make a grouped offer". How do I show the actual items?
3)Where do you see how many people looked at your items for sale, like a counter?
This is my first venture out of Ebay and it is a huge failure so far. I will try bonanzle next.
Thanks for your help

Hey Patrick...
Some things take a while, and some venues seem to work differently for different folks.
You may want to try some of the other eBay alternatives to see how they work for you. |

| i-Offer in my opinion should not be your "bread & butter" selling venue..I use it cause the fees are low and as said here previously by another member "they(mgmt.) are taking giant strides to improve the site" |

iOffer got BOOTED off of Google for 'inappropriate' listings - something that they've chosen not to fix! Hence no feeds to Google and no appearance of your items under Google's shopping tab. Listings are still buried on the general 'web' page and the spiders are still crawling the sites - but big deal, people are going automatically to the 'shopping' tab - they want to SEE it is that they are looking for. iOffer also said back in September that they were 'working on' getting the Google issue resolved, thusfar they've chosen to do nothing.
Low fees on iOffer? are you serious? They're second highest next to eBay. Try eCrater, Blujay or Bonanzle if you want no or little fees. Also mention that iOffer has the highest rate of NPB on the net!!! And then you have to wait 21 days to file for credit (which conveniently usually falls AFTER your bill is due so you're sitting there with a potentially huge credit in your account - and no they don't refund your cc if that's the case). iOffer should be avoided at all costs. |

Hi
Thanks for the 3 answers so far. I am not going to spend a lot more time on ioffer.com and will try the other auction sites like bonanzle and ecrater.
Thanks and please keep answering this post, I read it all.

Fees are Low? I don't think so: They are more than ebay if i sell 1 DVD @ $9.99 They charge $2.50 FVF That's 25%
11.00 DVD @ 2.50 FVF That's a 22.7%
12.00 DVD @ 2.50 FVF That's a 20.8%
13.00 DVD @ 2.50 FVF That's a 19.2%
14.00 DVD @ 2.50 FVF That's a 17.8%
15.00 DVD @ 2.50 FVF That's a 16.6%
16.00 DVD @ 2.50 FVF That's a 15.6%
at Least on ebay I pay 15% FVF Than you get 20% off your FVFs for being a good Seller
Yes one can argue listing fees But I sell a hell of alot more ebay then i did on IOFFERHIGHERFEES
also I'm not competing with people who sell Pirated Movies Iofferhigherfees Is just One Big SCAM From the owners to the sellers, You pay High Prices and you get S#@t Service No customer Service, No Phone Numbers The Place sounds like a Front for Tony Soprano |

hiya Patrick,
just take your times, don't be down, things take times. this may help you out:
1. as a new seller, that is a hard work to get good traffic on your items. ioffer system offer frong page for ad vender first. also, when you got more people ask questions or once you get the first sale, your listing go up to front page listing...
2. they use they own engine. your listings not alway on the same position, its changing
3. go click"Current Inventory" under your account, then you will see how many views
That is it |
