"Verifying and claiming the website URL in your Merchant Center account is a new requirement. If you do not verify and claim your website URL, your existing and newly uploaded product listings will get disapproved until you complete the steps below."
i looked at my ecrater sumited items this week- 723 were rejected- these items are only listed at ecrater (unique stamp lots)
the reason given was- 723 rejected- Website URL not claimed
the rest of you may want to check your items also. lol |

I discovered this problem several days ago and asked about it on the Ecrater forum. The problem has been fixed, at least for my store. They are very good at fixing things when they break.
I've been at Ecrater for almost 4 years and I have seen so many improvements. For me the inventory control was the best, so far.
I do love being at Ecrater and do plan on being there for many years to come.

| All of my items are rejected as of this morning due to the same error message. ECrater says they are working on it--sure hope so. Katinka |

well, i am sure they will get it fixed. my thoughts on this is google changed the rules again and everyone pays and jumps thru the hoops for the "Godhead" Google.
my guess is someone else will come up with a working version of "shopping" soon to compete with google. I mean how much trouble would it be to do a real working "shopping" if you cut out ebay, hsn, amazon and a few others... fairly simple if you were to pick only alt sites. we need a genius 12 year old to take this project on.
I'm sure Ecrater will get it fixed soon, glad to see it was not just me. lol |

I had that problem as well. I checked in the forums on Ecrater and it was widespread and they were working on it.
After they get it fixed they are going to resubmit the stores to google. I don't know how hard it is to resubmit the stores again or how long it takes but as of this morning my store was resubmitted and was accepted so I assume the problem has been fixed and now it is just a matter of Ecrater resubmitting everything. |

Jerryb, re your
like i said i feel google shopping is a joke anyway
Here is why google may not work for you.
I did some google searches for an 1895 morgan silver dollar, the rarest of the series with a mintage of around 13k.
Google search 1: 1895 morgan silver dollar, result = 231K
Google search 2: 1895 silver dollar, result = 74.9K
Google search 3: 1895 dollar, result =2 million
Google search 4: 1895 morgan, result = 3.96 million.
These are but a few of the variations that can be used to search for this coin.
It seems to be a roll of the dice, based on the search query.
You, the seller will usually find your item, but most likely you will search for what you have written in your listing.
Google has a long way to go to be effective. |

My google feeds on ecrater died after May 16,2010.Not sure when it will be restored.
I think its due to new google shipping rule changes.
But the google feed from my bonanzle store is working fine.
Most of my sales comes from google shopping on ecrater and my sales slowed down due to no feeds.

My feed went through last night. If you go to the eCrater fourms you'll see that many of the store are ok.
If there is one thing I have found with eCrater, is when there is a problem it will get fixed. I have learned not to panic.
If your items were already in Google, I beleive they will stay in the search for 30 days. |

Google announced several months ago that site owners must claim and verify their sites. The owner of eCrater said this had been taken care of then all of a sudden Google kicked us out and said the site hadn't been verified. We as sellers Do Not own the site so we can't fix it, only the owner can. I know they are working diligently to fix the issues, but they are dealing with Google  All feeds were resubmitted and some were accepted and some weren't...go figure.
oops forgot here's the link in the forum if you want to wade through 11 pages of gibberish!

Does this mean that if my items appeared in Google after listing in my EC store, that they will fall off of Google after 30 days?
Because I have 100 items up, all near mint condition, all priced lower than ebay (some of these are unsold after ebay listings), and all with beautiful descriptions, key words used at beginning, cat#s placed in proper place, etc.
I need more than 30 days for these unique items to be found and bought. I'm in this for the 10 year run at least. Nobody else that I could find on the internet is selling these some of these items.
So what is this horrifying "I beleive they will stay in the search for 30 days" comment about? |

quicksrt.... Your items would drop out of Google after 30 days only if eCrater was not able to fix the feed problem. However, I believe, from reading the eCrater forums, the problem has been fixed. Go back to "BigT" post, in this thread, click on link, and read the eCrater response on page 4.
Even if an items has been sold, or you put your store on hold, the items will still be in Google for 30 days. However, if someone clicks on it, it will show that the the item is "On Hold" in our store, or that it is no longer available.
My feed went through a few days ago and everything is fine. |

This is what eCrater posted, believe it was on page 8 or 9, on the link that "BigT" provided.........
The issue is still not resolved.
Some feeds were processed with no errors.
Others still fail with "website url not claimed"
There is also another group of feeds for which part of the items are successfully processed and the other part fail with "website url not claimed".
We resubmitted some of the failed ones and found that after several tries they will eventually be processed with no errors.
We contacted Google about the problem.
In the same time we will continue to resubmit all failed feeds on a daily basis
****************************************
I have been on eCrater for about 2 years now, and can assure that the site owner is great when it comes to taking care of problems. This too will be taken care of. |

Ok good. Because I am having no issues getting my items fed to Google. It is just that I need my stuff up a while for the business to slowly pick up steam.
It will take me 6 months to get enough items loaded in to feel good about promotion of the store. |
