Ya know, I been looking around on that site a lot.. Mainly at the items I sell on eBay, but all over too. The feedback scores are horrible.. It seems most (NOT ALL) of the sellers are rejects that have been cast out from other marketplaces.. Maybe that's why there isn't much traffic.. or much sales..

There are ways to make you eBay listings more automated.. That way there isn't a ton of time tied up in eBay and you will be able to focus more on other things.. I've got over 1000 listings on eBay and spend maybe 2-3 hours a night working on it. Thats even packaging everything.

It's all in the form of template and presets..

Did you finally hear back from the Ecrater seller? Hate to think a seller is a stone deadbeat as well.

And what template(s) would you suggest for my line of items? I'm always open to new things. I do use copy and paste for my CDs, lift descriptions and reviews from elsewhere, and drop it in. But LPs really are unique, and describing them is much different than books or other media.

thought i list more than 500 items on ecrater, but i only sell 2-3 pieces of ties monthly

Sorry do not quite understand you.
Are you saying that you have listed 500 ties on ecrater and that you only sell 2 or 3 a month ?

If so do you think that is good or bad.
If you dropped your price would you sell more
Would you sell more on another site ?
Would you sell twice as many if you listed 1000 ties ?

I have not been able to sell anything on ecarter yet!

towergem, are you spending a hard working promotion in the eCrater store?

If you don't spent any time in promo. I believe 2 or 3 sales by month is okay.

yes sites like ecrater and bonaznle you have to bring people to your store.

If you use ebid, then it works the same as ebay with the addition of Google Product Search and less fees, but less buyers of course.

Yes, but good products, that are not too common elsewhere, and competitive prices, super nice pictures, and good well written descriptions should bring people in just by having Google doing it's job right?

NO you still have to promote your self as the search engines won't do it for you and you will be on page ???? of a search and not on top always their so many sellers that do the squido lens thing and link scout and ect to promote them self's and do sell well but they are always promoting if you don't promote yuor 3 sales that you get is probally all you will get you want more sales you need to work for them and promote your store you see several of the posters here that have a banner add at the bottom of their responce to you that is just one option you have google isn't a do all for selling

I have some privacy concerns about having my stores on banners here. At first I considered that no one here buys music anyway, not the kind I sell. And that is true, but I should have the link in my signature in some other fourms where I do mention my store.

I should have it in every post I make there. But I was new to those forums, and was trying to not go full on marketing myself in as a brand new member. Now I feel better about going totally commercial there.

quicksrt, I understand you feeling of "privacy". In the beginning I had my banner and links in this forum as promo. Now I have them to show to people that I really support the alternatives.

Ebay gets really down on anyone having naything less than glowing commings about them. If they find out who you are they will kill your account for sure. I used to not fear anyone, but I have seen too much lately, and don't trust that they will live and let the chip fall - no, they will strike back.

All of the sites try and stop negative comments from their users. Ecrater, you name it.

Better not let anyone here know your real idenity unless all you are slling is glowing praise.

However, in music related forums, I have both of my stores in my sig.

I know long time ago that any company doesn't like to hear critics or opinions. For that reason I don't loose my time in company boards or forums.
