| Does anyone know how to create an Amazon page for an imported DVD? The problem is that Amazon rejects the non-American UPC numbers. However, other sellers seem to have no problem making pages for the items - I see hundreds of them. Does anyone know the trick? |

Yes, I know the trick. But one thing to remeber, if you do this make damn sure it ends up in a PAL listing if it is PAL, and NOT a NTSC listing DVD.
Where you enter the UPC code, above that you can entre the title instead, enter title - and up will come several versions of you DVD, select the version you have and only the version you have, and it will by-pass the UPC code method of listing an item.
I do this for certain items for cretain reasons different from your reasons. |

| Thanks anyway, but what you are doing is listing an item for which pages already exist. I'm talking about creating a new page for an item that does not already have a page. I know how to create a page, I just can't do it using the foreign UPC codes. |

Hello, I sell knives of course but if you list in the category "everything else" and you are a "featured merchant" you do not need an UPC code to post an item for sale on Amazon.
That is the trick I think you are looking for....
That will be $25 |

Ok, but when you said "other sellers seem to have no problem making pages for the items - I see hundreds of them." you should have said other sellers seem to have no problem making pages for other titles or items - I see hundreds of those with foreign UPC. The way it read to me is same tiles.
Because I am listing things that have foreign UPC codes as well, and they are rejected. But I found a way around it. And the way is find the UPC for the USA, even if you have to search another website that sells this item Snatch up the UPC from their listing. |

| coyoteknife, I'd send you a check if that solution worked for me, but I try to avoid the "Everything Else" category. Buyers looking for movies tend to limit their searches to the "Movies and DVD" category, so they won't find something in the "Everything else" category. And again I know that it is possible to build pages for these items in the "Movies and DVD" category because I see other sellers doing it. (I would ask them how they do it but as my competitors I doubt they would tell me!) |
