You can contact the buyer, and let them know of your disappointment in the feedback and ask why they think it is a photo copy. I would also offer to send them another copy, or perhaps a deep discount on a second piece. This will show your honor and willingness to please your customers. It will also show that as a buyer they should give the seller a chance to make things right.

Getting a neutral is not to bad. Many buyers understand and actually know that some buyers are just unrealistic with there expectations. Your commitment to excellence will show through in your other feedback's, and any buyer who looks at these before buying will see through the neutral.

The real challenge on Amazon is getting the buyers to leave feedback at all. I would try to put something in each package asking for a great feedback. You can even tell them that you are new to Amazon, and every great feedback will go a long ways in helping your business. Which is all true.

Look into some of the other venues as well. I would like to suggest Vendio Stores as a possible site. You can slowly build your own web-site with very little cost to non at all. The other thing you can do is use this platform to import listing to Amazon and EBay. there are a lot of advantages here for you. Feel free to PM me about how I use Vendio to save time and money.

Totally agree.
I've recd 56 orders in the past week, yet no feedbacks at all. Don't know how to get the customers to leave feedbacks, sending emails doesn't seem that useful.
Anyone get experience on that?

I think the reason its harder to get feedback on Amazon is the buyers aren't the same as on other online sites...they aren't as conditioned for the "feedback" response. I've had to do some "educating", in a very soft pedal kind of way. When I get an order I send a message right away thanking the buyer for the order and letting them know its been shipped. I then add " I hope you enjoy your purchase and will take a few minutes to leave positive feedback after it arrives". That has made a difference...it still doesn't come in droves, but certainly better then before I started using that line. Hope that helps.

You did nothing wrong. Its the customer that posted false information about the transaction with the intention to harm your reputation. There's a name for that:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Defamation

This is exactly why you should set up your shop somewhere that does not use feedback. Feedback means one thing - blackmailing the seller. This practice of giving away free stuff to bad buyers is going to attract more bad buyers like flies to honey.

Imagine your shop as a brick and mortar one and some customer comes in yelling, in front of other customers, about how you sell fakes from china. You've just rushed up to this guy or gal and gave them some hush money out of the cash register to shut up (that's extortion) instead of telling them to get out and calling the cops to remove them if they don't.

LOL, back when I sold stuff on Yahoo's old auction site some guy (who calimed he didn't get his package and wanted to start a insurance claim) couldn't figure out how to contact me with yahoo's system or with his email system (because he deleted all the emails) so the ass leaves a bad feedback rating just so he can post a long note to me to tell me he needed to start a postal claim on the item. Lets just say the note I left for my feedback needed scrolling.

While I'm very sorry that you experienced the issues you did, I wouldn't really sweat it. When I go to purchase items, I realize that I'm taking a risk and so long as the positive reviews outweigh the negative (even if the reviews are seldom), that will still get me to purchase something from you.

I've seen some pretty stellar merchants get horrifying reviews on both amazon and ebay -- it's just a matter of what people are expecting as opposed to what they actually get. You seemed to do just fine. In short, you can't please everyone. . .and if it makes you feel any better, I believe your half of the story. LOL

Listen to this: Howmuch did you invest to start an amazon business? $100? $200?
Just invest another few bucks to the buyer, meaning that you give him a partial or full refund if he or she will remove the negative feedback, and I'll tell you a secret after a buyer removes a feedback they are becoming restricted from amazon to resubmit it again, so you don't have to be worried if the buyer will resubmit the negative feedback
