| Hi Everyone! I am excited to be starting to list on Amazon as Auctiva is not going to be multi-channel in early 2011 so this means the two largest marketplaces I will be able to sell on! Ebay and Amazon! This is very exciting and I have never sold on Amazon before so just wondering what I am in for? Dare I ask? lol. |

Congrats on you CC13!
hope you score :)
feel that Amazon is not that complicated as ebay, but the traffic is not as crowded as ebay either
the most challenging part would be to get positive feedbacks from the customers
what things you sell now? |

I am also excited about the new feature of Auctiva however it is much more difficult there to open a selling account for sellers who are not based in USA unlike ebay which is much more flexible. Amazon requires US bank account and US mailing address. Anyone knows any way to circumvent this?
Thanks in advance. |

Having a close friend in the US who will let you used the credentials would be the best way, and then hide your international IP address (if possible when you load up the items, and check up on sold inventory). |

| Hi Everyone, just wondering if anyone has been selling sports collectibles on Amazon? What is your experience compared to Ebay? Thanks! |

| Listing at both eBay and Amazon can put you on a better advantage than staying on just one. Buyers tend to find eBay cheaper and can offer more excitement with the competition. But for customers who want something with no hassle, they tend to choose Amazon over eBay. Amazon is seen to be buyer friendly. Customers get free shipping once they buy over $25 and are given Amazon gift cards when they submit reviews. But at this point eBay's strong point and main reason sellers cannot ignore them is the established and consistent traffic. So why not enjoy the best of both worlds! |

Sorry to disagree, I feel ebay's slight advantage sometimes, is that an exciting and rare item can go higher than average, or even the top price at amazon. Those certain items only.
But if you think ebay has established traffic, you should have seen it 5 years ago. This is nohting compared to then. As a matter of fact, it is a sad burned out street, like after the circus has left town. You have no idea salehoo. Traffic is way way down at ebay. And up at Amazon. It is just the way the ball bounces. |

| I found Amazon so complicated- as a seller AND a buyer. Can't tell you how many times I went there to buy something- and clicked out because I couldn't email the seller with questions- and as a seller, I found I was limited on the types of items I could sell.. I think I sold on Amazon for about 6 months- only books.. sold ony three. I only lost money. Betty Lou |

Amazon is very straight forward for selling. But no, not a place for doll beds and blankets. :( |

| I only listed books on Amazon- not doll beds and blankets...It would be nice if one could sell anything (almost) on Amazon- as we do on Ebay.. Betty Lou |

| Maybe you would have out sold on Amazon had you listed your items instead of the books. Try it. It seems to me that people list everything and buy everything on Amazon already. |

|
|
| Hi There, I keep hearing all these great things about selling on Amazon but I find their system is very limited. I mean I am only allowed to use 1 image for each listing? That is almost laughable. Get with the program Amazon and also I feel they need to improve their design as it is completely cluttered and difficult to navigate. Any thoughts? Thanks! |
