eBay Publishes Item Delivery Date in Feedback Flow

According to eBay Seller Advocate Jim ("Griff") Griffith, eBay is now alerting buyers to delivery dates in the Leave Feedback flow. Griff made the announcement on his Facebook on Thursday and included a screenshot.

Shipping is a sensitive area for eBay sellers, as they are rated by buyers on delivery times even when delays are the fault of the carrier. Adding a reminder to buyers that the item was delivered at the time they are leaving feedback was generally viewed positively by Griff's Facebook friends.

One seller wrote in a comment on the Facebook post that she liked the concept of the notification, but that it would be better if the message read "according to Post Office records" instead of "our records," stating that the message was ambiguous as currently worded.

What does the delivery date have to do with the seller?

Should that not read your item was posted on?

I believe the same like the others comments. The phrase "our records" isn't good for any seller. It is still telling to buyers that we are the postal service.

Why eBay don't use "eBay records"? Jajajaja

In my case by personal experience. Some postal employers are lazy, if their scanner is damage and you aren't in front of them. They will not scan the item. I always check the bars and they are working. But everything I go to the Postal Office the employer just do one try to scan look at me and always said something about the code bar. Then he proceed to write it.

For every 10 items maybe 1 isn't scan in the "Delivered Date". For every 10 items maybe 5 aren't scan in the "Acceptance Date".

In my opinion the USPS is getting good $$$ for a service that performance varies by areas.
