You would be forgiven if you didn't realize eBay listings included a Twitter and Facebook share function, since it's practically hidden behind a pull-down menu labeled "Share" located right next to the "Print" and "Report item" links. eBay added Twitter and Facebook to its "Share" feature on Item pages last October - "Share" had previously included only an email sharing function.

eBay has also recently added Facebook, Twitter and Digg icons to various eBay portal pages as another way for users to share items they like via social networks, this time with one click. The social networking features have been added to various eBay Fashion and eBay Motors pages, and eBay added the Facebook "like" button to Fashion Vault, Daily Deals pages and eBay Classifieds, according to eBay spokesperson Johnna Hoff.

Who would be that insane that they would use it?

I recall a seller being blackmailed before ebay made changes to NARU, through using MSN, and sellers on here are too afraid to put their ebay ID up on here, so who would have the courage to show their products on any of them when any idiot can decide to have you kicked for fun.

I have a question about twittering your eBay auctions. I have been experimenting with a few of my auctions using twitter through eBay. Every time I do this I get massive hits to each auction within 20-30 seconds. These cannot be live people that fast, so what is causing me to get so many hits? Does anyone know the answer to this?

This might be a dumb question-but what purpose would that serve? Do you mean to get the info out into the web world-or are they just being nosy?

Both. They are doing what search engines are suppose to do. Gather information to display when someone searches certain words or phrases.
