Hi Everyone,
I am wondering something. I have some listings set up so that they are say for example $79.99 with an auto accept for anything over $50 and an auto decline for any offer under $50. Now is there a place I can go and see if there have been any declined offers? There must be. I mean this would be handy if you wanted to sell the item faster. Also why ebay doesn't allow their sellers to send out an offer to all those watching their items it would let the watchers know they better buy it or the same deal is being offer to all the other watchers (not knowing just how many watchers there are they would feel the pressure and buy it before they saw it gone forever to some other buyer). I know this would work with me and the rare items I purchase. Ebay is so lazy and fat and do not even try to experiment with new things. It's so crazy. As CEO I would do a far better job than this clown John Donahue and I don't even have any formal training. I have ideas and move on ideas and that is what counts. Anyway back to reality here. Is there a way to check these declined offers? Also why not be able to go in and make offers on your declined offers as maybe someone last week offered $40 and was auto declined but this week I decide hey I would accept that as I have some bills to pay so I could reverse counter offer him? I mean the possibilities are endless with a brand as powerful as ebay but they are just wasting away and letting all the competition rise up. I guess that is ok with you shareholders though as long as the next couple years give you good returns. Enjoy it while it lasts because it never does in the best of times and the fool you have running the show JD has got to be the most incompetent CEO I have ever seen. |

| Hi Everyone, How do I cancel a sale I put on in my store? It seems there is not a way to do it? Is this just one of ebays scams again? How do I cancel a sale early without having to click on over 500 of the listings individually? Must be a way. Thanks! |

I don't have any make an offer going on right now but I seem to remember there was a place to see the declined offers.
I'm just curious. Why do you use the auto decline? With auto decline of anything under 50 then you would miss out on someone offering 49.99. Yes, they do that sometimes. Also, if someone came along with a horrible insulting lowball offer you would have their name to be able to block them from future bids. Plus you would have an idea of exactly how many offers you are getting. When I've had make an offer available I didn't get so many offers that it was any trouble to deal with them myself. |

| Way to many low ball jokers to deal with. Just as I said. Maybe you see their offer was close to your decline. Also, auto decline is a great tool as it makes them want it more so I am going to keep using it. Just please answer my question does it lower the accepted amount as well as the posted amount or not? Thanks! |

| elliemay I asked how to do something and you question why I would want to do something else. I appreciate you trying to help but all I really wanted was the answer and not question why I would do it. The main reason I want to do it is I just want to create a sale with the click of a button instead of having to go through it all individually one by one. I gave some ideas to improve sales which is far from rambling. Auto decline is a powerful tool is used properly and I was just thinking outside the box and asking what if we could access all our auto declines but then again that would make far to much sense for ebay. |

CC13 - I do make an offer quite frequently, however I have never done auto decline. It just does not make sense. You are on one hand asking the buyers to make you an offer, and then saying do not waste my time. Do you realize many buyers will make several offers. I personally want every opportunity to communicate with the buyer. If a buyer low balls me, I make a sales pitch in an effort to make the sale. Usually you will do just that.
Think about it, a buyer had enough interest to look at the listing, read the listing, make an offer. You now have a qualified lead, and the rest is up to you. Be a salesman or women, quit looking lfor the easy way out, then complaining there are no sales on eBay, are you kidding me! If you are not making sales, look at what your competition is doing differently, chance are you are not using the correct keywords. Try Google keywords, it works awesome!
Here is where I believe you will find this answer, when you open up the listing you have seller info at the top of the page. It should show this info in this location. You can also get this information in the selling manager, and I am not sure however I believe you would get a message as well.
As far as the end a listing early go to help in top right corner, an input end listing early. you will go through2 or 3 pages to get to it, then bookmark it for future use. |

thegolfingdolphin, I'm not looking for the easy way out and I am not complaining about anything without looking for an corrective measure.
If you do not understand the value in auto decline then it won't do any good for me to explain it to you.
99/100 times you deal with low ballers you will not convince them even if your the best sales person in the world. If you feel it's worth it for a 1% conversion ration be my guest but it is not worth it for me. I have had jokers offer me insulting amounts and they are hardly worth my time responding to them. Besides it drives up the desire for the item when you actually have some confidence in your items and say to the bidder "Sorry, it's not worth my time for the amount you offered and I will just keep the item, however, you can offer again if you like." Now that is salesmanship. So maybe you need to re-think you system. Mine is working fine even with this terrible market we are in. I just want it working better. See you need to understand that complaining and doing nothing and pointing out realities and trying to solve them are two entirely different things. So check yourself before you insult people and accuse them of taking the easy way out as you put it. |

Sales - you can cancel a sale thru the markdown manager under the store management options. Each sale is listed and there is a drop-down menu for cancelling or editing. There are , however, limits for how many sale items can be "changed" in a 24 hour period. Also, some auction-format sales cannot be changed at all once started.
Offers - you can see all offers, auto-declined included, in the item details - there is a link for this on the auction itself when logged on as the seller. |
