You can, but ONLY if you have several stores on the same venue. i.e. several stores on ECrater. However... if you have, say one store on ECrater, one on AtomicMall and one on Bonanzle.. then you have to have 3 seperate GCO accounts. It has to do with the callback API. I prefer GCO, but this is one area that I find daunting to have to deal with if you list on several venues.

Google just replied to me and said I could use the same google cart for all my stores, even if they are on different sites!

Really?
Can you be more specific, as this confuses me. I say this, because when you set up GCO, you have to put into the settings area the API call back from the site you are listing/using it at. I don't see how you can use it on mutlitude of sites when it will only accept one API Callback. If this is really true.. it would be such a blessing.

You can if you don't complete the full integration for the callback to the selling site. If you have 5 different sites of your own it will have little effect on you other than it won't transfer the order and inventory information to your site. If it is a marketplace you may want to fully integrate a different account if they collect sale fees like Bonanza or Atomic Mall .

During the set up/intergration portion, what did you put in the API call back area? I find it very confusing that if you put ECraters API that you would get payment through another.. Everything that I have read in the past, and how I was told to do it was to put the sites API in the intergration area. Just need to find out, as I would love to whittle down the several accounts I have to one.

It is still possible to receive payments through GCO regardless of the callback setup, but in the case of level II venues like eCrater or Atomic Mall, the site won't receive the critical payment data it needs to automate the checkout process, adjust inventory quantities, calculate FSF, etc. if the callback does not point to that site's response handler script.

In our logs I see several examples each day of Google payment data coming into our servers from sales made on eCrater and other sites. The seller is still notified of the payment by Google, but the originating site has no way of knowing that a successful payment was made, since the merchants have their callback url pointed to AM. Since some sites don't collect fees, the impact is somewhat reduced, but if a merchant has inventory control activated, it won't be adjusted, and single unit items will still show as being for sale even if the seller has sold out. They also won't receive sale notices from the site itself.

I am definitely in the camp that thinks Google should find a way to make GCO work with multiple level II venues without the need to open multiple Google accounts. If Paypal and Amazon can figure it out, I'm sure Google can too. Maybe they just need a little "push". :-)

AtomicMall.com, I'm going to tell you something. GCO is a piece of trash. They begin calling themselves the competition/alternative to Paypal, but after 4 years they are still in pampers.

I can go to sign for it. Filled all data and in the end said that GCO is only for 50 states and Washington DC. But you can see Puerto Rico in the state/territory in the sign up.

Also any question or doubt. The one who answer is a freaking bot.

The problem with Google is easy. They are trying to control everything, but don't spend enough resources to improve in the most interesting areas.

NOT if you use inventory control ... on any of the sites.
other then that ... eCRATER since there are no fees to charge .. don't care what you do
