|

According to eBay residents of some of the most wealthy areas of the country are being driven to eBay to buy big name brands at knock down prices. Affluent area of London including Fulham, Wandsworth, Clapham, and Putney are flocking to eBay to source designer fashion at knock down prices.
Wealthy areas outside London are also showing the same trend. Alderley Edge – home to some of the UK’s best paid footballers – as well as expensive areas of Leeds, Edinburgh, Belfast, Morpeth and Cardiff have all recorded increased activity.
The study analysed the increasing number of people using the site who live in post codes which have some of the most expensive houses in the UK. The study suggests that the shopping habits of those who measure their wealth in hundreds of millions of pounds has remained relatively unchanged by the economic downturn. They still continue to buy directly from the big names in designer wear. However, the picture changes significantly in the next tier down, in areas where people have previously measured their wealth in mere millions.

A load of twaddle.
A few Hooray Henrys with beggar all to do and all day to do it in might join in "for a laugh don't you know" but if ebay seriously think millionaires are that desperate and hard up that they shop on ebay with all its faults and problems they are even more removed from reality than usual.
I suspect it owes more to a bit of free publicity than anything else.
The phrase "according to ebay" which starts the article is indicative of what is going to follow.
Here's another one "According to Kevin Bacon the boss of Baconsdozen has film star looks,a dynamic personality and is Naomi campbells secret love toy."
You can type 'farts don't smell'. It doesn't make it a fact. |

Ebay have no idea who is joining their site, I was at a market recently and there was a group of sellers I know laughing and chuckling over something.
One of them was waiving a bunch of letters in his hand saying ebay could eat his behind (Not so polite)
It turns out this seller was in one of those fields that kept getting kicked off ebay and he just kept starting up a new account, and due to the fact he did not return to the old account he also could not pay his ebay fees.
He had about ten letters from a debt collector, all in the same name and on the same address, as if each were a different person.
They are getting ripped off for their fees and they can't even figure that it is the same person ripping them off, as this seller is still on ebay, and I think he is a TRS with one of his accounts.
Until ebay actually know who is signing up on their site, any possible marketing research they offer has to be taking with a pinch of salt. |

So is they why we have to pay now to be seen by the UK. It cost 50cents per item to be seen in the UK now.
When you list your item and you hit continue to the next page. Look right above the small picture. You will see the box you have to check to have you item seen in the UK for 50 cents |
