As the title, who can tell me the differences between those two accounts? And how to change to seller central if you are already a marketplace account? Any certifications needed?

I've heard that you can check the customers' phone numbers through seller central, besides that, you may install some third party apps. But is it hard to get? Like you need 100% positive feedback or what requirements to take?

I switched over from Marketplace to Seller Central about 4 months ago. When you go with Seller Central, you can set your own shipping rates instead of Amazon setting them for you. Your Seller Central store looks a little more organized and you can open up a Web Store and your items will get populated to your Web Store.

The NEW Web Store is not working too well right now and there are many complaints, but I hope that they are working on it.

Drawback is that you will lose all of your existing feedback when you switch platforms. You will have to close your present account to open a Seller Central account, but customer service is very helpful during this transition.

You will have the customers phone number and the ability to enter Order No's in the Manage Orders. Lots of Reports and Account Statistics are included with Seller Central, along with Selling Coach recommendations.

Funds are dispersed every two weeks so you don't have the ability to withdraw before the two weeks.

No special requirements to move to Seller Central.

Good Luck!

Hi Gypsy, thanks a lot for your reply, it's really helpful. Do you think the sales on the new seller central account is better than the marketplace account?
During the switch, do you need to change a new store name/logo?
How much does Amazon charge for a seller central account monthly?
And is there any possibility that you could PM me your store link?

Now would not be a good time to switch and I would wait until after the holidays. My sales tanked for about a month and they are starting to come back up to where they were before. After 4 months, I am now starting to gain back the Featured Seller in my categories and until you get back on top, you are a newbie.
The fees are the same for Seller Central and Marketplace (Pro Merchant).
I changed my store name completely but if you want to keep the same name for your store, you will have to change the name for your old store, wait for Amazon to close it then start on Seller Central with your old store name.
Amazon Help Desk is very supportive and they will help you all the way with the transition. It is best to keep them informed as to what you are doing and phone calls work out the best. BUT, I would not advise switching until after Christmas unless you do not sell seasonal items.
I see that your store is offline right now. Was this intentional?
