Amazon.com reportedly spent $5.85 million on Google advertisements in June compared to eBay's $4.25 million spend. Advertising Age magazine published details from an internal Google document, though it did not explain how it had obtained the document.
Only three companies outspent the two ecommerce marketplaces that month, according to Ad Age: AT&T, Apollo Group (which operates the University of Phoenix), and Expedia.
