| Thinking out of the box here, but it sure would be nice to submit an image to a search engine and get a result. What made me think of it is I have a plant that I can't identify. Maybe someday? |

| Nah, it looks for the exact photo. However, it could be used to see if anyone is using your photos on auction sites, perhaps. |

| Possible first step towards what you were looking for. If developed further it would also be valuable for those "what is this thing" moments for sellers... |

It will probably happen someday, but I doubt that with the current status of technology, you can show a computer one picture and expect it to correctly identify a species.
Why not just post a picture here? Have you tried any gardening/botany forum yet?
Anyway, good luck and don't forget to post when you've found out. |
