Has anyone noticed their products either disappearing from google or being buried under other items when you go to search for them? When I used to type in the name of my product it was usually first or second on the shopping links, but now I see that not only are my links missing from google, but so are the links of my competition who were usually on the same first page as me. This has happened on mybisi/highwire as well, but to a lesser extent.

Yes, I saw it in some items. Many are just getting buried under eBay.

Google has been doing this for awhile and it gets progressively worse daily. If you look at the facts... you provide google with products to make their product search dept work but you are no longer needed so google has sweap you under the carpet. do not trust google as there is nothing fair and honest going on there.

Ecrater depends a lot on Google products for hits - for income and i would suspect it is effecting their income. I pulled 90% of my ecrater listings as I have come to the conclusion they were nothing but a waste of time as they are not showing up on google at all yet 100% inserted rate.

A shame but the truth is google is a huge company and google products is nothing but a piece of crap advertizing ploy for commercialism of larger sites that they get $$$ from.

Google now lists all of my products again. This could be a an eCrater submission issue and not google's fault.

Froogle is strang in search. Sometimes a combination of words you will never see your store in "Any Store" even when the item is in 1rst page.

I was looking the Google Analytics. Since February 1rst until today from 2,406 visits near 60% came from Google.

Wow...
I just check a few of my items with Google search, I even put the exact item title as it appears in Ecrater.

Five pages in, and not a sign of it. I wonder if:

1. the item is over six months old, and Google likes newer titles, even if they do not quite match search?

2. Would it help if I retitles with fresh set of words. Example.

This is my item, an LP record.

Martinu Piano Quartet (1942) Quintet No. 2 Pathe EMI LP

Could I retitle it like this below after three months to get better exposure?

Bohuslav Martinu Piano Quartet (1942) Quintet No. 2 French EMI LP

Would a slightly different set of words put me back in good graces with Google, or has Ecrater messed up, and Google is mad at them?

I will rewrite every title if it gets me back the exposure I was seeing a few months back.

quicksrt, I believe that eCrater & Google messed up somethings. eCrater during September-October have a problem with the feeds of sellers that only have one electronic payment method Paypal or GCO.

My items in eCrater were the 1rst to show some months ago. Now sometimes is more easy to find my items in the other marketplaces than eCrater. Also Google like to show better any eBay, Amazon or Compare option than from little marketplaces.

I check other items, some of them are showing high in Google. Others not.

If I am the only one with the item it should be very high.

But yes, big stores bought out Google and that as they say is that. But even giants can be brought down.

I don't even use google checkout so the entire site is probably affected. That's alot of sellers who's junk isn't showing up on google.

I see no point in offering GCO right now.

1. It blocks paypal's button on the EC pages, a rotten and unfair thing to do.

2. The fees are not any better than PP's

3. More buyers have PP accounts than G payments.

4. I need some of my sales to result in instant spendable cash, and not a bank transfer that happens in a few days.

5. Oh, and Google search doesent like me or feel my items are as important as Target, Amazon, Walmart, and/or ebay's, and those store don't even carry my rare items.

That cash available on my ATM card has been a life saver a couple of times. There is nothing quite like cash available instantly, sorry Google.

I do have both Paypal and GCO on Bonanza, and just Paypal on my website. My sales are about 70% PP and 30% GCO. That has steadily been climbing over that last 6 months. I am trying to get my web cart to add GCO to my site.

I am sorry to hear that Ecrater blocks the PP button if you choose GCO. That doesn't make much sense.

Yes, just to be clear, Ecrater makes the PP button harder to see and get to once GCO is also accepted as a payment option.

If PP is the only option besides checks and money orders, PP
s button is there at first glance.

But that is not such a big deal so long as buyer is sharp and can look around. But as I said, I need cash sometimes, and need it fast.
