If you decide to refund your buyer for overpayment in shipping it could cause you problems!!!
Ebay is opening disputes against the seller when sellers make a partial refund.
I have always made partial refunds when buyers didn't wait for a combined shipping invoice and paid too much shipping. I guess I won't be doing that anymore.
There is an article about it at Auctionbytes...

This is totally insane!! |

Maybe if you just use the Paypal "Send Money" option to refund to buyers account?
Obviously another glitch that only hurts honest sellers! |

I'm curious as to why this was moved to "web payment services"???
It's not a web payment issue. The disputes are filed by Ebay on the sellers.
It's an EBAY issue.
This is something that will cause problems for all of the ebay sellers that do partial refunds and I know there are several here at PSU because I have read different posts in here where they are doing that.
I really think this belongs in the ebay topic area. |
