I use Google Checkout on a regular basis, & have it integrated into my eBid stores.
So far, I haven't had any problems with it at all.
The fees are much of a muchness with paypal, and you can choose how often your monies are paid back to your bank account, weekly - fortnightly - or monthly. The only down side is that you cannot use any balance to pay for goods, any purchases are debited from your registered card.
It's just a pity that so far, it's only available to a few selected countries.
Hope this helps.

It can be tricky to set up, but once it is set up, it's great.
I have accounts for my two eCrater stores.

I've set up google checkout on my own web site but have never worked out how to to the same on ecrater.I assume because I'm based in the UK (pounds) and ecrater is US (dollars) it involves a different set up.
A pity because it works well. |

I have used it since 2006 not long after it launched and love it. It is just like my merchant account that Paypal because they never hold the money in your account.
I heard sometimes with new accounts they hold a "Reserve" but my Authorize.net has done that since I started using them too. They hold a small % of my prior yearly average 30 day sales for 30 days in case of a chargeback, and Google probably has something similar now. |

|
|
I have a Google payout from 2/4 for $144.38, that is not showing in my bank account  . I know it's not my account because on 1/28 I received a $16.20 payout, and yesterday (2/7) my payout of $26.57 is showing as "In Proccess" in my bank account.
So, what could have happened to the $144.38? Has anyone had this happen, and should I contact Google, Bank, or both?
I've been using Google for 2 years now, and have never had this problem. |
