Some PayPal users reported to AuctionBytes and on various discussion boards and Twitter that they were unable to access the PayPal website beginning Wednesday evening and into the early hours of Thursday morning. A PayPal spokesperson said PayPal had conducted scheduled maintenance Wednesday night, and "as a result, some merchants may have experienced slowness for approximately an hour between 10:00-11:00am PT. Additionally, some users may have been unable to reach the PayPal.com site during this duration."
Users wrote that the were unable to access the PayPal site and were getting a "server not found" or "cannot find server / page cannot be displayed" messages.
PayPal schedules regular maintenance times every Thursday and Friday from 11:00 pm to 1:00 am PT.
