I'm a powerseller on eBay (quickdrawartist, and store: aardvarkbay).
I've just started surfing PSU forums, I'm seeing a lot of feedback from merchants saying that they are having success selling on CL. (I've also found lots of smart helpful people here, this is pretty exciting!)
I've used CL for other purposes, but always thought that for doing any kind of sales, CL would be more trouble than it's worth.
My GOAL is to move serious amounts of inventory, and I don't want to:
1. open a brick and mortar store.
2. sell out of my home.
But the more I read, the more I'm interested in the possibility of selling on CL....and then I found this suggestion about selling from CL via Bonanza(zl) (...or I guess it could be Blujay or whatever). After reading this, I'm even more intrigued.

Finally, I live in a very small town on the Oregon Coast, and I would prefer to sell to the larger Portland, Oregon market.
ISSUES/QUESTIONS:
- Will CL shut me down because I I live on the coast but am offering to sell to and ship to Portland? I have a large amount of inventory available (see www.aardvarkbay.com ...and that's just part of my inventory) and would like to sell various items to various CL's around the country ultimately.
- Am I barking up the wrong tree?
- Will the fact that I want to SHIP ALL SALES blow this biz model up in terms of CL?
Some people say they are having no problems, some say the opposite. I'd like to hear from folks who are being successful with this model...OR have tried and failed.
I'm not whining about how CL should be something other than what it is. But I am not hugely happy with the eBay / Amazon models (for different reasons) and NO other online auction holds even the dimmest candle to the sheer size of eBay. But I am open to checking other venues, since, if some outlet is much smaller but still has the buyers...well that's fine, isn't it? :O)
