...finally have a sale in Blujay.
I was thinking in 2011 to leave slowly the site. I still believe in point or another I will leave it.
Anyway I was very surprise about something. The Invoice number. My last sale in Blujay was in November 14, 2008 was Invoice#233409. Now the new one sale in January 6, 2011 is Invoice#338767. It means only 105358 Invoices in 2 years and 2 months. WTF!
Now from that 105358 you take 75% as successful sales or paid items. The site is really dead in sales. It means like I said in other topic. A lot of people is telling "fairy/fantasy" stories about the sales in the site. |

They have a faithful following though... doesn't it all fall under the header, whatever site works best for you, may not work for someone else?
Nice to hear you made a sale there though. |

highdesertdetails, yes I saw that philosophy in some forums even here. Works great when we tell it to a rookie seller with zero sales in the site, but in examples like me I don't think so.
Blujay years ago was a site with potential. I don't understand the reason the owner leave it in "autopilot". |

| I remember when it opened. I loved the format. It definitively needs some attention. Still... it comes up respectfully high in the auction site count. So people are using it. ? |

| I believe that people have items over there, but if somebody is making big sales must be one or 2 sellers. |

Most of my sales inquiries & sales are from outside the US on blujay. Are your experiences similar?

otter5555, if you receive payments by PayPal. Bad news for you. You are under eBay's shadow.
fastautosports, never receive a International sale in Blujay. Not even a question from a International buyer.
Blujay is free and has a lot of potential, but somebody forget to work with the site long time ago. |

| I sold there for a while but had few sales. Last month I thought I would go and maybe list a few items and see how they do. When I listed my first item there were Google ads inside my listing. I didn't like that at all so decided not to list there. I wouldn't have minded if there were only a couple but there was a bunch. Don't want so many other ads that you can't hardly see my listing. |

Sales work for me on a steady basis.
The ads don't bother me a bit, it's what gets people looking thru google.
It's a free site and works well for me............. |

Another miracle. I made another sale this week. Interesting note about the sale. It looks like the buyer have problem to make the purchase. He/she tried four times before it manage to paid for the items.
New Invoice compared to the other.
342510 PP PAID 1/24/11
338767 PP PAID 1/6/11
In 18 days Blujay had 3743 sales. In my opinion must be 75% completed orders. It is 2807 sales in 18 days or 156 sales daily. |

You are going on the premise that there is one item sold per invoice.
Multi buys can show on one invoice.
So your number info isn't really factual on what you are trying to say.
Just my opinion. |

Justjoansetc, you know that in some sites multiple buys are in the same invoice unless buyer pay for every one.
In my opinion you can buy 1 or 100 items, but it shows only one invoice it counts as 1 sale. For example if a seller like Wmart has 2 sales. One buyer get 1 big 27 inches TV for $300 and other buyer get 50 item for $300. How many sales they get? How many receipts are? They get 2 sales and 2 receipts. They will not said that they have 51 sales.
Based on my little experience in Blujay. I had only 2 combine sales. Even in eCrater I have only 4 combine sales. So I can't said that any site is powerful making combine sales. So every sale I will estimate as 1 item sold.
Also I was checking random sellers. From more than 10 I only see 2 with combine sales. And yes in the new Blujay feedback/transaction numbers you can see the list of the items in a sale.
PD
One question. How do you hide your transactions numbers in Blujay? |
