When some people looking for a new pet on the Craiglist website questioned the legitimacy of posts claiming to be made by a dog rescue group calling itself Second Chance Rescue, they say they were bombarded with graphic emails and voice mails threatening retaliation.
"When I actually saw her on there trying to trade a laptop computer for a small dog, I realized this is not a rescue," the woman who asked only to be identified as Heather said.
Heather told LEX 18 that when she questioned the group, she got an anonymous, threatening email in response. She had to paraphrase what it said because it contained language too graphic for television.
"If I wanted to get my butt whipped, that she would come any time, and that I could have it whenever I wanted, and threatened to cut me with a knife."
