I thought I would post a few links to some sites that will educate some of the newer members here on how to spot some of the Nigerian frauds that are out there.

What brought this up was a phone call DH had with his brother this morning. BIL has an old tractor for sale on Craig's list and has an interested buyer from "England". DH mentioned it AFTER the call. I said it was risky as all get out. So we called back and I talked with BIL and got more info. I told him they might try to send a check for more than the price and say that the rest is for the shipping. So far they hadn't done that and BIL wasn't aware of that scam.

After lunch BIL called back and said I was the smartest woman in the world. The scammer had just said they were going to send a check for $1000 more than the price and that was for the shipping.

I'm not smart, just got educated years ago thanks to others on this site and whoever originally posted these sites.

Don't be eating or drinking when you read some of her stories of her counter scams or you will need to clean the computer screen. Some of the stories are a riot.
