Having been on ebay for 8 years, thought I had found a good site in BidVille.

Had been around a few years, figured they had ironed out any gliches, issues that would keep it from climbing upward.

They still have some serious issues, one being that final fees are not being refunded in cash but in credits that can only be used for auction enhancements, not even against store fees. Not good.

There is a genuine problem with an 'US vs. THEM' mentality of some older members vs newer members on the boards. It's an endless circle of bickering and backstabbing. I know, I was a victim of it.

Furthering that animosity is very poor quality of the moderators on the boards who don't do their job without obvious bias and inconsistency.

The underlying issue to that nonsense is a lack of clear terms of service for board usage.

I don't see this site improving, although I was only there one month, the tension and the ever pervasive "Us vs THEM" is a killer.

When I was suspended from the boards, I was emailed that I was suspended with no explanation as to why, other than I had 'contributed to a disruptive thread' which turned out to be I had agreed with a poster who had an intelligent post on what the problems were - nothing disruptive at all. So I suppose the message was indeed "do not question us".

I had emailed the site, asked on the appropriate Help board looking for answers to clarify obvious inconsistency in what I understood the broadly written TOS to mean only to find out I'm wrong one day, right the next? Very bizarre way to run a site.

So I left, trying to use up credits given for referrals and moved on.

Even after I left I find that I'm still being flamed on the boards for trying to get clarification of the terms of service so that the bickering and finger pointing that was there before I signed up, would stop with improvement of clarity of what was/was not acceptable.

The boards are a 'view' of the quality of members and sellers and as such it was not helping the site because of the insanity of it all. Had customers email me as well as sellers saying it's out of control. I certainly agree.

I to have been doing business on ebay and left I have moved my auctions to Bidville as well. I am a big supporter of Bidville. I love the community of postive people we have there. the trouble seems to be with a group of past members that are angry looking for revenge. to understand the things I am talking about you will find it on Mad-cow.com. This circle likes to conspire to bring the site down. unfortunatly Nancy is a recent member. Most of these people that cause trouble dont have auctions they are not there to buy or sell just stir things up. I have seen alot of impovements on the boards this week since Bidville had done their job by suspending some of the trouble makers. includeing Nancy. The things she was posting should not have been brought up on public boards but brought to Bidvilles attention. I have also been there a short time but I have had several large sales. They have a great system for posting and are working out other glitches. I support Bidville completely also a powerseller from Ebay for 3 years. with a 3000plus in positive feedback. I hope to be a part of bringing Bidville to the top. We have the most wonderful group and mods that do interact with us. We hope to attract more great sellers and buyers with positive attitude.

Yes, by all means, please check out page 6 of this thread, there is a very long chronological post that explains what the poster gailsgoodies is talking about! Very informative and certainly shows the problem I posted initially.

MadCows.com

In fact, post #135 in that link will give you the chain of events.

How sad that once again, I'm being chased around by the "US vs. THEM" crowd that persists - even over here?

I think people can see clearly where the problem lies, it's internal at BidVille and so pervasive that if you have a differing opinion, you shall be chased and spoken poorly of.

How very bad this is for BidVille. And it will not stop.

Folks reading this thread will probably begin to see an influx of the type of mentality that is prevalent at BidVille. I would not be surprised to see many BidVille members come and take their shots at me, again, even though I have closed my store, have two auctions running and when they end, that is it.

This is a very sad display of what one can expect from members at BidVille

Keep that stuff somewhere else!!! Better yet, GET A LIFE. It reminds me of pro wrestling. This site is aimed at being constructive, and should never become the pro wrestling site of enet auctions. Just my opinion. Dan, out.

[B]Hi Nancy!
You do not know me, but I helped to build Bidville, Now please read what I have to say- I too left. I was ask to help build it. Then I was forgotten.
I was made many a promise that was not held to. I also was trashed on their boards. I was not Suspended. I told them I was pulling my items off and when I told them that, they blocked me from the Forum. Since I pulled over 1600 items off, they have begged me to come back. I told them if I needed abuse I could get it locally. If you want a Great site to sell from. I just had 58 sales last week, take your items to www.theauctionman.net
you will not be sorry. Four pictures - 2 email address. Free sign up. Go check it out Nancy and others that are unhappy where they are. It is the best thing going yet. Those they tell you to "Get A Life" will follow you shortly when they see what they are missing - trust me!
