So a few different issues here we need to cover. I will also include this in the seller email on Thursday.
Google "Base" which is actually now called Google Merchant drives the google shopping engine. The shopping engine is different than the normal google search engine. You can see the shopping engine HERE. This is completely different than the regular google search which you can see HERE.
Google Merchant is making some changes.
These started as changes in the formatting and information of feeds that were to happen on June 6, 2011. That date has been moved up to May 3, 2011 and a new wrinkle has been added in that Google Merchant will deprecate ( no longer support) their existing API as of June 1, 2011.
The API is the software we use to talk to Google Merchant and feed ArtFire items.
All of this means we have to make a bunch of changes, rebuild software, re-submit feeds, and re-tool monitoring in the next 2-6 weeks. So - You will notice some strange happenings regarding Google base ( Merchant).
