Received an email this morning -
iOffer Invoice for Feb 26, 2006 - Jun 26, 2011
Your Current Balance of $3.65 is due on Jul 03, 2011.
Payment can be made by (1) PayPal (2) Google Checkout (3) Credit Card (4) Moneybookers (5) Check/Money Order.
All I got to say is I haven't been on iOffer for five years or more; don't remember my password, user name etc. etc.
Could they be for REAL? $3.65 after five years and never heard from them before this. |

They might have been hacked and it is a scam to get your personal info
best thing to do is to contact them and ask why your being billed for something your not using and you haven't done anything with that site for years sounds a bit kine scamer to me phisfing for your PP account info or credit card info caution |

| Sounds like a SCAM to get your info on ioffer. RUN and don't get onto ioffer and ask for your PW or user name! |

Interesting to hear this - something is up at Ioffer with old emails. Probably a glitch.
I got a trademark infringement notice a couple of weeks ago for an item I sold in 2005 - and has not appeared on the site since 2005. In fact, last time I sold anything on Ioffer was at least 5 years ago.
There was no phishing link or anything about the email that suggested it was a scam. Just a take-down notice, an item number, and the item title (which was definitely mine). According to the message header, the email did actually come from Ioffer.
I forwarded it to Ioffer's trademark group with a note that this was a really old listing...they did not respond. |

| As stated above, submitted to spoof@ioffer.com on Sunday and haven't heard back from them. Probably won't hear from them again. |

| I've been getting a nasty collection agency email over unpaid ebay buyer protection insurance premiums. |

glade221, I got a reply from iOffer and here is what they said:
I wrote them -
"Just wondering if this is real or a scam."
Their reply -
"If this was a scam, would we tell you?"
"Seriously though, it's not a scam, we're simply sending out invoices to old iOffer sellers who left the site without paying off their remaining account balance. Your account has a very small balance of $3.65, so it's honestly fine if you choose not to pay."
Boy, this is a tuff decision, $3.65 can get me a little more than a gallon of gas, or add twenty-four cents and I can get a gallon of milk or maybe a bag of Cheerios or . . . . . . Ah Hah, just got my Cherrios, @ $3.59 plus tax. Oh, and by the way, milk was two gallons for six dollars.
Since I'm an honest guy, I think I will send them the payment . . .
in five years. :P |

| I got the same thing out of the blue recently...multiple emails....and I know I was square with them(5 years ago?!?)....seems fishy to me....almost like they're sending out random invoices for small amounts to everyone, hoping some pay....at least that's the way it appears to me. |

| I got a reply from them. It's not spoof, but apparently it was some sort of bug and you can just ignore it. |

Scam or Bug; legit or not, I paid them after going to their site and logging in.
Sure enough, said I owed, so I paid. |

Funny how the bug brings them money in instead of crediting sellers accounts. That's the way she goes. |
