Is there a link to direct the buyer to leave feedback for the seller?
I have had several sales, but no one has rated me yet.
I like to send one reminder to the buyer to leave feedback after their purchase. If I could send them a direct link to their "leave feedback" page, I think a buyer would be more likely to bother rating the seller.
I do this at other venues I'm selling at and have had pretty good results.
Thanks in advance. |

Well...I do seem to remember ecrater stating feedback was now an option over there. I've not sold anything (yet), so can't speak to this question. The ecrater person does stop by here every day or so, and hopefully can help on this one.
I am quite sure tho that feedback is an option - sorry I'm not more help. Did you try and search "here - the forum" for ecrater feedback? The post might pop up - I'll try it too and maybe we can find the answer. :D :D |

Thanks for your reply Erin.
I bought a couple of items on eCrater to see how the feedback thingy works from a buyers perspective.
I got a notification email from ecrater to "Rate your transaction at eCRATER for seller Mr. Nice".
This is what it said:
Please click on the link below to rate your transaction at eCRATER for seller Mr. Nice
http://www.ecrater.com/leave-feedback/very long url.............
Notes:
1. Please leave feedback AFTER you receive your order
2. Please rate the seller but not how easy was for you to order from
this website.
- The eCRATER Team
I just thought if the seller was able to send that same link to the buyer as a reminder it would help.
I suppose if people still don't rate you even after getting an email with a convenient link to click on, well......so be it. |

I hear ya - - - feedback is an interesting item for sure. I always leave feedback and am always hopeful others will do the same. However, it seems that it happens less and less. I'm of the opinion that many buyers, esp. newer buyers just don't know what it is, what it means and/or how to do it.
I do always encourage buyers to leave feedback on ALL transactions, not just mine. But...you just can't count on it!! :D :D  |

I'm impressed. I just made another sale on eCrater today, made two yesterday. I'm a happy camper. :D

You're right, you can't count on it, you can just do the encouraging. No problemo here. As long as I'm making sales, to quote myself: "I'm a happy camper".
Have a good day! |

Yaaay! I got my first feedback!
Is feedback only for sellers, or can I return the favor? We need a feedback importer :D I feel so vulnerable with a 1 :? better than a zer0 I guess... |

Congrats on your first feedback. I'm still waiting.
As a buyer eCrater sent me an email with a link to leave feedback for the seller, but as a seller I never received an email. So I'm guessing you can only rate the seller.
I don't know if I like that system. Let's say the buyer leaves unjust feedback for the seller. How are you supposed to explain/defend yourself?
I just as soon not have any rating system in place unless it's equal between seller and buyer, but that's JMHO. |

| I would suggest at least being able to jot down a reply under the feedback. |

Go to ikarma! Here is my personal link so you can go check it out and see how it works,http://www.ikarma.com/user/stargazer328
I think it is a great place for people to leave feedback, especially when you sell at a sight that doesn't have feedback. Or if somebody bought something from you then no longer were a member of the site they bought from, then they can go there and still leave you feedback. I really think you should go check it out! Good luck! |

I was going to ask you about IKarma. I checked it out when they first started advertising and at the time didn't have an opinion one way or the other, but I'm starting to see the benefit of this site, because the ecrater feedback only works if someone uses PayPal. Some companies with Yahoo stores have this. You pay with PayPal and then there's a section that asks if you want to rate this store.
I'll check out iKarma again. I am beat at the moment. I finally got a child mannequin form and just photographed kids' ponchos and shawls. And then I have the formatting and writing up the auctions and measuring each item for the descriptions  It's times like this when I feel I must be a masochist. I'm tired. I'm going to take short nap with the KNC kitties and then I'll need coffee  |

| You should go check them out after your nap! I haven't been with them very long but it seems like it will be a good place. The first reason why I went to check them out was I had made a sale at ioffer and by the time the buyer got their merchandise ioffer had gotten a stick up there butt and kicked her out so she couldn't leave me any feedback. I had sold to her before and I knew she would have good feedback for me so there entered ikarma. With them she could still leave good feedback for me. Plus I know there are a lot of places out there that don't have feedback systems so ikarma is perfect! I hope you go check them out after your rested and have a BIG CUP of java! |

| I didn't even know there was a way to leave feedback and don't see a place on the site to leave it or read it. I've been on that site for almost a year and have never asked anyone to leave me any, as I didn't know it was possible  |

It is my understanding that the feedback is rather new. You might want to check out the discussion on the eCrater forum.
Congratulations to those of you who are selling on eCrater! I am rather new sure hope to have some sales soon! |
