| Hi,whats bad about this is I believe that the buyer is doing a chargeback at paypal. I don't know the reason but the easy way since this is not a sale off ebay and there were no fees to worry about what they should have done is emailed you and told you what has happened. If they would have done that you could have just sent the money back to them through paypal and it would have been over. But when they do what they did it freezes up your account and makes it a mess until paypal gets off their a?? and tells you what you have to do. A simple email from the buyer would have done it. You might never know the reason why the buyer did it because in my case paypal never gave me a reason why they went in favor of the buyer, the item was insured through USPS but I still had to give him his money back. I wish you the best, you will know in a few days. E-You,Later! |

I had this happen twice last month. I phoned PayPal and asked
what the HECK was going on ...
=========================================
FROM PAYPAL:
First time they wanted proof that I mailed the item, because they
had a complaint from the buyer that item was never shipped ...
I reminded PayPal that Buyer paid for the item on Sunday, and I
shipped on Monday and it's Tuesday and way too early for any
buyer to file a complaint!
They agreed and it was bumped off immediately.
FROM EBAY:
Buyer became NARU'd
===========================================
FROM PAYPAL:
The Second time PayPal locked in my account was "Unauthorized
Purchase" where buyer claimed they did not purchase a list of items
and mine was on there ...
BUT - that was Unlocked once I forwarded PayPal the email from
the ASK A SELLER A QUESTION - where the buyer asked me about
the item and how much shipping was and SIGNED their name ...
And I also provided PayPal the Internet Details as well ...
That too was bumped off immediately!
FROM EBAY:
HOWEVER on eBay ... this same buyer sent to eBay stating they
never sent me a ASK A SELLER A QUESTION (even though their
email address was exposed) and filed a "Unauthorized Purchase".
But because PayPal already reversed that, and I reported the
notification of PayPal's finding.
THIS TIME - eBay investigated it, and 2 days later, I got an email
from the Buyer saying: "THANKS SO MUCH! THIS IS WHAT I'VE
BEEN LOOKING FOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
I forwarded that email to Safe Harbor using the same Case Number,
and ....
Buyer got NARU'd

HERE'S A WEIRD ONE:
Buyer did 3 BIN's ... paid immediately via PayPal, on Friday Night.
I shipped it on Monday - with delivery confirmation.
Well - the Delivery Confirmation never showed up on USPS's website,
and after 10 days after I shipped the item - the Buyer filed in Dispute
Console - "Item Not Received" ... and Immediately filed with PayPal
that Items Not Received ... and was requesting charge back ..
PAYPAL locked my account up and I was in the negative ... But once
I submitted PayPal the delivery confirmation - and they reported that
USPS showed nothing.
I went to USPS - and they already had a Postal Inspector that was
monitoring this individual for mail fraud from various online purchases
with false claims of never receiving items ...
HE (Postmaster) CALLED PayPal and then faxed the information to them,
and of course, I had him call eBay to which they provided him a fax
number to fax the report to them.
BUYER became NARU'd in less than an hour later!
PayPal unlocked my account and the money was back in there, AND
eBay reimbursed me for all the fees!
As for the buyer --- the only thing I got from the Postal Inspector was
after he faxed all the info to the Inspector the buyer was already in
jail.... before our reports got to them.

DELIVERY CONFIRMATION:
(I got lots of info from the Postmaster & Inspector)
How come it doesn't show up on the usps's website, even long after
it has been delivered (and buyer has already left me a feedback)???
1) In extreme cases, if there was a buyer who has a history of
complaints - from insurance to item(s) not received. The individual
can be flagged by the USPS Inspector, and they become under
investigation for Mail Fraud.
2) Sellers have notified the USPS about a specific individual who
had filed obnoxious complaints to them in regarding to items: such
as buying an item, and then switching it with their broken item and
then blasts Seller for sending broken item, and they proceeded to
blackmail or threaten ... (Some Sellers report everything - which is
good, and even better are the Sellers who photo's the serial numbers
but it's not documented in the auction/business website, but for their
records alone) ... and a Case is developed against the individual,
because of reports that have been submitted.
3) A case report has been documented - where a specific area has
been deemed as "missing mail" (not an individual, but the area) and
a postal mail carrier may be under investigation -OR- there is mail
theft occuring (which is unfortunately, a common problem in crime
infested area).
4) Law Enforcement Agency is investigating a possible fraudlent use
and/or stolen accounts purchasing items (online or offline) and item(s)
are being shipped to a specific location (PO BOX or RESIDENCE). And
such investigation - the information is temporarily blocked.
{Often times these individuals who stole item(s) often lists it on the
websites - Immediately for a quick sale, and more often than not the
labels that were sent to them are ripped off and a new one is plastered
on and many times, such individuals do not even open the package,
they simple steal the auction information from the Seller they purchased
from as well as the images}
5) Then you have buyers who watches just for that - on the USPS's
website on Delivery Confirmation - even if they got the item, if it's
not there - they then proceed to harass Seller and threatens to leave
them a negative, or bashes them for "lying" that they didn't leave any
delivery confirmation (Here's where I find it interesting: How would
they KNOW that the Seller had delivery confirmation - most Sellers use
it and never tell the buyer!)
===========================================
NOTE: I had #1, #4 and #5 happen to me:
#1 and #4 - USPS worked with me and I provided eBay & PayPal such
information.
#5 - I was very puzzled when the buyer wrote to me that they never got
their item, they blooped when they told me they can prove it because
they went to the website and typed in the Confirmation Number and it
was showing as SHIPPED, but never RECEIVED. There was no way the
buyer would know this, because I hadn't given them the Delivery Confirmation Number! When I went to USPS - they were INDEED under
critical on-going investigation - and all my emails, threats, the whole works, was printed and sent to the Post Master which he faxed it all.
By this time the buyer was banned from PayPal and NARU'd from eBay.
I even got an "Lawyer" Letter via snail mail for "harassing his client" and
blah blah blah ... legal mumble jumble, to which I gave that to the Postmaster and He took the original and mailed it immediately via US
Government Mail to the Postal Inspector.
I received 3 more Threatening Letters (We're gonna sue you) and USPS
Postmaster also passed those along too.
THEN I was bombarded with piles of Spam and all sorts of things I didn't
sign up for ... and the IP matched the buyer's IP .. and finally reported
it to my Law Enforcement Agency and then was sent on with USPS.
I don't know what happened - but it's been a total Silence now for 5 months and I'm assuming they've squashed this nutcase!

| Hi,the price we pay for selling online. I quit sitting in my store about 15 years ago. Rose still has it open and she comes home after sitting in there all day getting jerked around and tells me about it. I will tell you I'm just about ready to go back to the store because of all the scams there are selling on this computer. At least when they are standing in front of you,you can solve it right then and they can't stab you in the back. E-You,Later! |

Agree you all - very good information and yep....for whatever reason, I'm agreeing and am sure (90% of moreso) that the buyer started this process.
What's really strange - I invited the buyer to PSU, and she was having issues with a booth @ Yahoo. I suggested if there was ever a site that could help her - it would be here!
So - you see, our communication went much further than buyer/seller - even more into seller/seller/tools/etc. I guess I can be a sucker @ times, but a nice and professional one for sure!!!     :D |

| Hi,when that guy did that chargeback on me I did the same thing when I saw that he was NARU at ebay. I told him about the stories that I had read about people getting kicked off ebay for no reason and maybe this site could help. Now I'm sorry I did because we don't need anybody here that does that to good sellers. E-You,Later! |
