Keep putting this up, but it seems someone does keeps taking it down, maybet third time is the charm!
Does it print USPS shipping labels and keep P&L on transactions like eBay's software does. |

You can print a shipping label one at time from each order page via stamps.com, its .07 per label or free if you have a stamps.com member.
amazon software does not provide any in depth information processing. they are light years behind ebay in information processing for small sellers.

| Thank you very much for the info. I had a feeling, though I have never seen it. Selling Manager Pro really does it all. I guess I could opt for a subscription on Stamps.com, but the accounting stuff would be a problem. eBay breaks down each transaction P&L and on a monthly basis too. Would have to get an accountant to handle that for me since I don't have the time or probably ability to to keep crunching numbers. You would think they would copy something good off ebay instead of you the bad stuff! If you sell on Amazon, how do you handle the bookkeeping? Thanks again! |

In most peoples opinion, very badly. I have never done an overall general profit and loss analysis for Amazon or ebay, except for year end/taxes.
I over analyze each item as it goes onto Amazon or ebay for the first time so I know exactly what my gross margin is on an item before I ever sell it, and often before I ever own it.
EX: Expected selling price, $19.95, less $10 cost, less $3 amazon fees, plus shipping credit $4.49, less shipping cost $2.67, less box/mailer/label cost .29, leaves 8.48 profit.
Once I have established an item price and profit I don't even think about it unless I see a price increase on the wholesale end or I need to adjust the price because of competition. (I do occasionally double check my math on low margin items.)
Since most of my expenses arise after and item is sold, i.e., shipping expense, selling/FVF fees, so as long as its a profit at the time of sale as analyzed above, it's a profit at the end of the week, month and year. (My base operating expenses are quite low, perhaps pennies per item sold, so it barely matters to my bottom line.)
Keep in mind, I have been doing this for long time and usually can usually do it in my head as reflex. My sales volume and cash on hand is also large enough that if its a slower or busier than average month I I notice it in the extra, or lack of extra free time I have first, not in the money.
Finally, when download reports of the money you withdraw, it will contain very basic income, fees and shipping expenses information, but for each item, you will have to do it manually.
