Hello I just signed up for eCrater yesterday and edited my store page need to how it looks so far.
also
how would I go about creating the Meta Description Tag and the Meta Keywords Tag have never done these before are these necessary?

Hello,
Your store page looks great! One small suggestion, if you add a picture to each of your categories then they will show up at the bottom of your store page. This entices people to look further. Feel free to check my eCrater store to see what I mean.
As to the meta tags, yes they are important. they are what the search engines use to "pick up" your store. Your title tag should be a short description of what you sell in sentence form. ie; Sale of stuffed bears and singing bears. (Put in exactly what you are selling) After you have made it, this appears at the top of your browser when you open a browser window on your store. (Look up at the top of this window and you will see "Power Sellers Unite Helping Sellers Eveywhere" that is PSU's title tag.)
Your Meta Description tag should read something like this; A variety of vintage receipts and ads Royal Crown, Grapette, Coca Cola, Pepsi... only a list of your stuff instead of mine. Once again a simple sentence.
Your Meta Keywords is the most important. This is where you list the "key words" that the search engines pick up on. An example of yours would be; bears, stuffed animals, singing bears, animated bears... You want to use the words that other people will use to find your items. Also, be sure to use common plurals when making this list. This list is not done in sentence form, just item then comma then space then item then comma...just like I did in the example.

Thank you, so much, for the help I took your advice and added the picture to the category.
and got the meta tags and keywords completed. |
