Haven't used it yet but looks pretty good and 100% free. If anyone is using it please keep me posted. Midmobids.com

Perhaps a name and a link to this "new alternative auction site".
Might help sellers find out more. |

Since most people don't make their first ever post about a new site unless it is their own, I'll assume it's really your site since you are from Missouri and it's Missouri's online auctions.
A few things I see:
1. Nice site design but there's a cost. The site is very slow (10+ sec) to load on a cable connection with very few items listed. When you get hundreds or thousands of items it will take longer and turn a lot of people off.
2. There are some unsecure items on your secure pages. Usually one of the background images is hosted on a unsecured page, in your case it looks like a flash script, but that warning still pops up and will turn people away.
3. The knowledgebase that hosts your terms & conditions/privacy policy is too wide for the site and info on the right side can't be viewed. Terms are very thorough though, probably more than any other site I've seen.
4. The Help page is mostly blank with a piece of a sentence under each one and nothing more. FAQ is completely blank. Contact Us form runs off the screen into the black sidebars. This won't help your customers trust you or the sellers.
That's just some issues that will run potential members away. |

| Can't access this either. Building a marketplace is tough, but surely not so that you give up so soon after attempting to market it. |
