MTreasures, what do you sell in Blujay? How many items are posted in your store?

The question should be, Is anyone making a decent profit for their time, some that say they are making sales from promoting may be just chearleaders and over look how much time and effort they are doing to get some sales

and of course chearleaders will always spin it to feed their cheerleading agenda

I've been a member since 2005 and have lots of sales.
But have lots listed and I promote myself a lot to make sure I have sales.
It's a nice free site that has a lot of advantages for those that use it to their advantage.
Equate it to fishing you can't catch a fish without throwing a line out there with bait on it.
Just me.

Someone says there may be 75% of the transactions as actual transactions, I would say that is much smaller than that. Most sellers will have more TEST sales from theirselves than from potential buyers.

And then since this site is not known the potential buyers will not go thru with the sale at a very high rate causing so much time wasted for the seller and stopping much of any profit made.

Alot of cheerleaders may be mods there.

I have no idea where you are getting your info from but geeze that is rather stupid, why would anybody bother to go to that trouble.

I'm not a MOD but I sure as heck call it as I see it on the site.
I work hard at getting my products on line and with all the right keywords etc to get them showing on Google and sales happen.
And I don't pay anybody to get these sales...
So where ever you got this ??? information and I note you don't list that you even have a store at Blujay, what is the problem!!!!!!!!!!

Too much time used up to get sales can make the site not worth it to most people. Some people for other reasons may be fine with very little true profit when counting in the time.

And all those transactions that don't go thru because of no one knowing the site will really use up a sellers TIME and make it a losing endeavor. BUT again if one is a cheerleader they don't care if they spend all their time in the world to get a few sales.

I can see everyone has a point, But I was just stating its not got enough people on the site.... another thing I don't like is no Feedback system.
I got ripped off there because you can't see if a seller is a good one or not.
And even though I paid via paypal , Paypal simply told me since it was purchased on that site and they had a delivery confirmation, nothing could be done , because it couldn't be reviewed. So I paid $45 for something not even worth $5
I guess alot of people feel the same way I do. I keep my things on the site because its free but better free sites are out there.I am not going to waste my time promoting a site that people are scared to use.
Thanks for all the replies.

MT , maybe some sellers use the site to get the money from the buyer and NOT deliver and with doing that their profit per time goes up.. That may be the only way sellers can come out good on the site..

So, maybe the satisfied sellers are those types.

I would say bad sellers will LOOK for sites to sell on where they can rip buyers off and these may be satisfied with small sales since they get all the profit from taking the money without sending the product

MTreasures, do you post only 4 items? I don't remember very well the quantity, but I have more than 30 items when I make my 1rst sale in Blujay and eCrater. In Blujay my maximum was near 200 items. I sell many of the items in eC or eB and now I have more than 90 less than 100.

In my 1rst years in both sites. I don't spend big time making promotions. I just begin to post items. I wasn't making dozens of sales, but both site showed that they worked and have the ability to get buyers. Blujay is free and a big potential site compared to all the "trash" sites that appears everyday calling themselves "Alternatives to eBay".

Now today is different. Froogle/Google is more interesting to display sellers in eBay or Amazon. So sellers in the Alternatives need to promote and post to get sales.

MTreasures, my recommendation. It is to choose a site to become your "Home Base", post items and promote it. The other sites post items that you have duplicates to sale.

theplainsman, the 75% is the "successful" sales credibility I assigned based on my personal experience with Blujay and eCrater. When I said "successful" means that the items were paid because not matter the site the Invoices/Order numbers increase not matter if the item was paid or not.

Justjoansetc, if you are still selling in Blujay. Please tell me now the Invoice number from your last sale with the date. Thanks.

Now I need to say. Congratulations to all sellers making sales in Blujay.

Also, once a site sees how the invoice nymbers can be used to make a site seem good, then management and cheerleaders may spend time jacking up the transaction numbers so one needs to understand how that can be false.

And people who say they have great sales are these regular sellers or cheerleaders and mods that watches forums and try to limit the negativity.

From what i see on compete.com it shows blujay has lost 13% of its traffic over the last yr compared to ec losing only 1% and this shows blujay is still losing traffic in comparison And since blujay is less known the site will have more non sales from their lower visists than ec. And this losing traffic over a yr is when blujay has gained more listings, which means less and less looks on the items
