|
|
eBay is running a promotion in which sellers will receive 20% off Final Value Fees if they offer speedy shipping during the holidays - but only on new listings.
To qualify, the listing must offer a free, expedited shipping service option with 1-day handling. The listing may be fixed price or auction and applies to U.S. listings only. Adding a free, expedited shipping service to a live listing will not qualify for the promotional offer - listings must start and close during the promotion period to qualify.
If you're an eBay Top-rated seller, the promotional discount of 20% off will be in addition to the discount you already receive.

And they claim to be a venue and not an auctioneer. They have far more control than any auctioneer I've even seen.
Translate eBay message = throw our sellers under a convoy of buses so we can appear to be more like Amazon.
Seriously eBay how does that make any sense at all? I sell a customer a $20.00 item and I am suppose to through in free shipping on top of not being allowed to charge for insurance and tracking. Oh then I am out the final value fees, and I am out paypal fees - since I charge actual shipping I actually loose money on shipping due to paypal fees. Oh, since I am self employed I also have pay both the employer and employee share of social security; income taxes; transportation; blah; blah, blah. eBay you are seriously sounding like you think I AM YOUR EMPLOYEE OR SOMETHING! |
