| don't fall for this it is a scam just reverse the payment and I would call PP and do it over the phone and tell them that the buyer wants you to ship out of the country and tell them where and you don't want to take the chance of a scam and the PP account being used might be a stolen one |

I get 2-3 of these PER DAY. The FBI and my State Law Enforcement internet crime bureau have NO INTEREST in pursuing these claims...both agencies advice me to simply ignore them.
PayPal does not function this way - either you get the payment or you don't...there is no 'releasing of funds' except when paid by PayPal check - in which case PayPal sends you the data, not the buyer.
The standard Nigerian Scam: they offer to buy your item...and offer to send a Bank Check...then claim to 'accidentally' overpay the check by about $1000. This check is FRAUDULENT -- Destroy it immediately!! They want you to cash the check, then wire back the overpayment. Generally I email these ba*stards, "Thanks for the money - see you later." This burns their beards better than anything! |
