Does 'PEGGY' now work at Ebay?

"Hello...My name 'Peggy' ".... We've all laughed at that comical television commercial brought to us by Discover card. The foreign man, answering the phone in the customer service department, is hard to understand and totally frustrating to the customer.

I think Ebay may have hired 'Peggy'?

I received feedback on one of my sold items, two days ago, and found, when I tried to LEAVE feedback for the buyer- I got a red message saying I cannot leave feedback- that either the number does not exist, or I have already left feedback. (this is the fourth time this has happened) This time I called Ebay about this on-going glitch.

I think I spoke to 'Peggy' who was as much, if not more, confused about the red message. I'm sure these customers of mine are wondering WHY I have not left feedback for them. It also causes me to wonder is this 'glitch' is the reason I have so many sold items with no feedback left for me? However...the item that I contacted Ebay about was not even showing in Feedback Forum (no, the time had not run out) I was ONLY able to bring up the item using a keyword from my title- It said "Leave Feedback". GREAT! So, I left wonderful feedback and clicked 'Send"...YOU CANNOT LEAVE FEEDBACK FOR THIS ITEM popped up the message.

Peggy (?) being confused and having never HEARD of this happening before, assured me that he would email the buyer and let her know that I am unable to leave feedback for her. I'm sure SHE will have questions as well. Next....we discussed the many emails that I have replied to through Ebay's messaging center- which failed to go through (tons of them) This can look bad on my seller performance- as a lack of communication? No fault of mine-

Communication, through Ebay's messaging is controled by 'Peggy' (or someone similiar, at Ebay)

"Any other problems?", Peggy asked ( in a pleasant tone that sounded like he had actually resolved the previous problems)

"Well yes, " I say. "I have a buyer who recently purchased two items from me. She paid with a postal money order (she asked, I agreed) Once I received the money order, I shipped the package (Hand-addressed, could not print Paypal label since she did not pay through Paypal). I immediately went into My Ebay and added the confirmation number for both items- and reported that it was shipped via USPS. This was done on Oct. 17th.

Today- my account shows that these items have NOT been paid for nor shipped- the info I had added, six days ago, is now gone? "Help me, Peggy!)

I add all the info again.

NOW the account info is showing that the items were shipped TODAY not on the 17th. (fortunately, confirmation shows the package was delivered today) So, PEGGY... why must these sales show that a package I mailed today- was received today? Why did my previous information, with confirmation number, just vanish?. Why can't I put IN a date that payment was received and package was shipped? Why all the unnecessary confusion?

Peggy doesn't understand, but completely understands my 'concern' and 'frustration'.:)

Oh well....You gotta give him that. :lol:

You can print a shipping label through paypal even if your buyer pays outside of paypal. Here is the link:

Hopefully that will work or try googling paypal shipping labels and it will come up.

Don't know if that will help or not since you will still have to manually mark the item as shipped on your ebay page and manually enter your tracking number

Thank you SO much Sanibel- I had no idea that link existed. It's a shame that it can't be accessed through Paypal. But I will definitely use this when shipping to my money order and check paying buyers!

However, your given link would not work- so I called Paypal and they told me to go to paypal.com/shipnow and I found it. Again, I thank you so much for letting me know such a thing even existed. Betty Lou

Thank you for letting me know. It is a link I have in my favorites so I wasn't sure if it would work through here or not. I am glad you were able to get the correct link through paypal. At least you can save a little on postage and Delivery Confirmation by using the link to print postage.

Sorry I can't help with the other trouble you are having though. Sounds like you have a long rocky road there and I feel for you.

LOL- My Ebay problems and complaints certainly aren't anything that hasn't been heard before. My 'article' was actually meant to be humorous....Thanks again for the tip- I normally have someone take my packages to the post office for me, and I really hate to have them waiting in line for a package with no label.
