Just thought we could start a thread of suggestions or helpful advice of things that could help or improve our stores. Just to toss ideas around. I'll start.
Import feedback!
make the phone # for buyers optional when checking out
Theres more but hubby is home now. Be back later.... |

It seems like the "admin" area is set up mostly for listing and getting started.
We need an area for "post sale" too. I had a "question" today and I couldn't find anything about it. If someone buys something I don't see any place where we would see it.
Maybe I'm just too new at eCrater, or maybe I'm lost.

Yes, I'm with you on that one connielw. I would love to show my potential customers that I have a long and proven track record without sending them somewhere else to find out. I really don't want them to give up and not come back to my eCrater store or end up checking on englitchbay.
With all of the worries about scammers and what has been making the news lately, many people are afraid to risk buying from an "Unknown" seller.
Post sale would also be nice, as knappschiles said.
Plus being able to have a snap shot of how the checkout part of the sale looks to the customer. |

| Yes i think we need a better administration area. I received an email saying i had a sale and payment made through papal this morning but there was no paypal payment made. When i went to ecrater i couldn't find anywhere to check so i tried to just reply to the email and ask a question but receved email back saying the address doesn't exist. I'm treeting it as a fraud but really don't know :? |

| Definitely some sales tracking would be welcome. It doesn't have to be a lot, even a month would be good. But something more than relying on an email. |

I had piles of stuff at ecrater, slowly taking them all out,
getting lots of hits, but absolutely no sales .. and the price
weren't outrageous and the postal charges were normal,
so couldn't figure it out ...
One of the MOST complaints I get from people is that
the FONT is too small and you can't use the control and scroll
to enlarge it, lots of peeps do not have 20/20 vision!
:(
As for feedback importing - I just installed 2 links to
2 different auction sites that people could copy and paste
and view it ...

| If you are referring to ebay feedback - it's technically - according to ebay rules - against the rules to do this. ALTHOUGHI know it's done and done alot. It does give ebay grounds to terminate you from their site. I for one with over 6000 countable feedback am not willing to take that risk! |

| How about an HTML editor, or some way of sprucing up listings? Listing descriptions are so drab and boring with the plain text. I've never seen an outstanding listing on eCRATER. Is it even possible to use basic HTML to improve listings? |

That happened to me on eCrater.
I sold something, couldn't find it anywhere in my account (all I got was the email telling me someone bought TWO of them), the buyer didn't pay and I emailed her for DAYS. She finally emails me back asking me which site did she buy it on and did she buy something else from me, because she couldn't find a record, then tells me she didn;t buy two of anything, only one. THEN she decides that she doesn't want it because she couldn't remember going to eCrater, GRRRR.
Dreamin, did we maybe have the same buyer? lol |
