hi,
I'm new to online selling, trying to make a business out of it due to my frequent traveling between NC and Maine. So I try to work on the smaller items that are easier to carry and also lighter to ship....
I started by buying some wholesale items and trying to sell them through Ebay and my own online store and also through blujay.com.......
so far I haven't had much luck bringing in customers other than friends and family to my own website, I've had some sales through ebay but the fees are not worth the trouble and it ends up not being a realistic way to sell.. blujay I just started on, don't know what to expect (would love it if someone knows anything about it?)...any idea where else I can list my items? Free listing is what I'm looking for. I've been using facebook advertising and i'm also on facebook...so check out my page and give me any advice you think can be helpful for me... sphinx deals is the page. |

Welcome to the forums here at PSU.
Many have come to this place in search of a better and more economical place to sell their wares than paying the huge fees on ebay.
Depending on what you sell and the time of year usually makes a difference as to how well your online sales go.
Most of us started out on ebay, overstock amazon, onlineauction, etc only to become frustrated at the site's polcies.

Welcome to the forums sphinx, I also own my own website and it can be difficult at first to bring in traffic to your website. Currently I now get a couple hundred of hits every day, and I have no form of advertising, other than my free social media platforms I use.
It is all about being consistent and keeping at it. Also you have to make sure your items on your website are very SEO friendly for google. Once you have that down the organic traffic will flow in, trust me! |
