|
|
eBay announced a promotion in which Bronze, Silver and Gold PowerSellers can participate in its USPS Savings Program, which is normally reserved for Platinum and Titanium PowerSellers and Top Rated Sellers who ship an average of 2,500 items a month.
The USPS allows shippers who use online postage to qualify for Commercial Base pricing and is offered through approved online postage programs, including its own Click-N-Ship program. Commercial Plus pricing offers even greater savings and is reserved for high-volume shippers.

| Here's how dysfunctional USPS is - my previous postmaster had me order some shipping boxes for him BECAUSE USPS would not let him order any to have on hand. |

Same here, most of the newer boxes such as regional priority are online only, my local PO cannot get them, but they asked if I would order for them, which I do.
BTW... the newer lower rates are great, save a buck or more on each package I ship, adds up to a good sum of money each month, by the end of the year could probably buy a new car! Thank you USPS! |

| This program does not save USPS any money - the sellers are not sorting their mail. The reason discounts were offered in the past were because the USPS customer did part of the work for USPS, thus they received lower rates. The wholesaler I worked for had a bulk rate permit - they sorted their daily mailing invoices according to zip code range and packaged them boxes for USPS to pick - thus USPS did not have to sort them and thus saved money which they passed onto said wholesaler. This eBay program is nothing more than a USPS subsidy of eBay at the expense of everyone else who pays higher rates to make up for this. This program does not save USPS any money and this relationship needs to end now! Its coporate welfare no better than the wall steet bailouts and similar sleazy deals. |
