DISCLAIMER :
We are small business owners who have done business as active sellers through eBay for the last five years. Through our experience, every year eBay/PayPal enforces and creates more and more comprehensively onerous, restrictive policies which favor the buyer over the seller. We have witnessed the playing field be progressively tilted to favor the buyer, to the extent that we are finding it difficult to not just make a profit, but to remain in business AT ALL.

Further, it is very apparent that the various fees in general have gone up in inverse proportion to their quality of customer service. Customer service for the seller is now almost non-existent.

We have made exhaustive efforts to communicate all of our concerns to the attention of eBay's staff, through phone calls, surveys, emails and certified letters. All of these have gone un-acknowledged. We have seen that immediately after we communicate our concerns or issues, eBay will take punitive measures against our account.

All of our comments, petitions, letters, videos, blogs, are purely OUR OWN OPINIONS and EXPERIENCES. We speak only on our own behalf, not for any other sellers on eBay.

Okay...I clicked on your link- found the petition and the many comments- but found no way to leave MY comment....I registered, they sent me confirmation that I was now registered.... I clicked on the link in the notification and it took me back- but the PETITION was gone and I couldn't find it! LOL It just gave me MANY links to other petitions!! I clicked on 'latest petitions' and couldn't find this one. So...I tried. Do you REALLY think a 'petition' will do any good here? (yawn) Betty Lou

It will achieve absolutely nothing signing, but making someone smile is always worthwhile.

@Occupyebay

Best of luck
But I thik you would be much better off with a two or three point petition.

Also, your last paragraph about us small sellers just shows that you have not got it yet.

Ebay don't want small sellers!
Small sellers (and small customers) cost all companies the most in terms of service and expenses.

You are just trying to hold back the tide.
The board are obviously happy with JD (after 3 years)

Despite seemingly being determined to dissuade buyers and sellers from using its site with a deluge of new and altered rules and ever rising fees ebay still attracts buyers.
Rather than simply walking away I use it to try and attract attention to my own site or other places I'm selling by lissting items at very low strat prices and no reserve,Even though there are nowhere near the buyers that there used to be on ebay plenty of people still look. The other thing is to avoid listing fees all together and join up as a private seller,it doesn't matter if you already have an account simply open another one. Then wait for ebays free listings which are getting ever more frequent as it tries to dig itself out of the hole is dug for itself.

Didn't visit the site because the first thing that I think of when I see these is a site put up to harvest information and / or to simply report back to eBay what ip addresses visited the site, which they then would compare to those in their user base and then arrange for your dsr ratings to come down or arrange for neg feedback.

If you serious make a compresshensive study of how ebay has harmed your business and send it to your state;s attorney general; and contact your local state reps and claerly tell them that if they fail o do something about it you will be voting against them in the next election. Put your state reps ont he spot - they have the power to determine how ebay does businesss in your state.

I might be wrong but I don't think its compulsory to use Ebay anywhere in the world so far.
If you find a way of selling that works for you (I have with no reserve items) thats great,if you haven't,just walk away.
That will achieve far more than any petition ever will or has.

I suggest starting "OPERATION RECORD". Make numerous calls to eBay customer help, even if you know the answer, and then record the conversationfull of lies. Publish their lies online! Tell the eBay customer staff you will recording the conversation and if they hang up and refuse to talk that will be recorded also.

Ask them why they are refunding eBay fees on refunds to customers. Why can't I use a credit card to pay for my shipping labels. How can someone not pay for an item on time and then still be able to leave low anoymous dsr ratings for a seller after you report them for not selling? There's a thousand other topics I am sure you can come up with.

People have been doing that for years, people still buy from them and they still still with them and their listings keep going up.

As Baconsdozen says, best to sell elsewhere
