what i would like to see is a generic lister similar to auctiva that is useable on all sites, auctiva is dedicated to ebay which makes me suspicious, i would like to see one where it has a low learning curve, unlike the complicated .cvs file listers.
how much trouble would it be to link the other online auction sites to the postal rate calculator at USPS. i still do not know why you can not print media mail, parcel post or first class parcels from the USPS SITE.
maybe STAMPS.COM could come up with a linkable postal rate calculator. |

because to many people were using them for to many other things sending everything other than media through media mail and adding ins and all the extra services like DC instead of using priority mail so they are slowly phasing it out or like with first class they keep reducing the weight so you can't send bulky packages and the fact they have installed new equipment that only handles specific size packages or enevelops so you have to go to the po and they will tellyou that it can't be sent that way
read this thread and it might help you with the reason why you cvan't do some services on line |

i am a postal employee. 40 years, last 15 on the front counter. people will try to mail anything media mail. if i suspect a package a customer hands me, i will explain what media mail is, if they insist it is still media , i will put the postage on it, stamp it media mail, take their money , then open it in front of them, if it is media , i will re-seal it and put it in the mail stream. if it is not , i will give them their options, priority or parcel post.
anyone, employed by the postal service has the right to open and inspect parcels marked media mail, we always have witnesses when we do this.
my point is, at usps.com, click and ship, parcel, media, and first class parcels, are legitimate ways to ship, by graying out these options, the usps is once again shooting themselves in the foot. |
