Wrong item bought and I shipped, and then buyer says that they made a mistake mistake and wish to return it.
I message them that yes, they can return, but please do not open the item seal, so I can resell it as new. Do I refund their paid shipping, or just the item price? I kind of think that since it was their mistake, they should pay.
The item was sent back free of charge, they simply taped it up like it was never opened (as I suggested), and wrote what I told them to, "return to sender" and got it sent back no charge. |

I personally wouldn't refund the shipping, but I clearly state that in my listings. If it is my mistake, I'll pay the shipping both ways (as should be done). The exceptions will be eBay and Amazon where I believe you have to refund the entire amount.
As far as refunding even the item, as long as you aren't selling this on eBay or Amazon, I'd give them store credit... not a refund of any kind. Buyers have to say YES several times before finally/actually purchasing an item. I don't believe they make "mistakes" when buying. I believe they have "buyers remorse" or find the item cheaper somewhere else... so I don't refund cash money unless I made the mistake.
That's just me though. I don't sell on eBay or Amazon, and the rules differ from site to site. Check your site TOS or call your site admin to make sure. |

My policy mirrors Amazons
if its defective, damage or my fault, I refund.
if its buyer error, no refund |
