Hi there!
I'm new to this forum and had a quick question about protective cases for PDAs. In my online bookselling business, I use a Dell Axim x 51 PDA (416 MHz PDA w/3.5 Touchscreen). I'm currently looking into getting a protective case for it and wanted to hear if anyone had any good suggestions.
Specifically, I'm looking for a case that will allow me to use the buttons on my PDA and view the screen even when it's in the case. I also need a case with an opening on the top for my SocketScan scanner. And I'd also like one with an optional lanyard for safety purposes.

If you can't find what you want you want via retail consider that you could have someone make one for you or make it yourself. Do you own a sewing machine or sew? No, do you know someone who does? Is there a local group of quilters or leather workers? do you have a local boy scout or girl scout group that could maybe make one for you for a badge. Local college with art classes that allows students to pick projects? This will allow you to make one exactly as you want it.
Think out of box. Instead of looking in the computer department visit other departments and types of stores and take your pda in with you to try what you find. You never know what you can adapt - camera cases, ipad case, smaller luggage, slip case for laptop, and so on. Just walk up and down the isles of a large store and see what you can find. |

You might also want to look into a case called an "Otterbox." I have one for my phone and I love it, though to be honest I wouldn't have bought it for the full retail cost of $50 except that I got a great deal.
Now that I've had one I will absolutely pay full price when I get a new phone. It lets me access everything, and the case itself is incredibly protective.
I don't know if they have one for your phone, but if they do I highly recommend them. I had to order mine online. |
