I have been trying to get into the Blujay Forum site, but it keeps timing out. Is this site still supported?

Tried it again, and now it works. Could have been my lousy internet connection at work. Still, I think the question is valid, is Blujay dead? I have a couple of sales per year there.

hey Hotspur8

blujay is not dead. Like you, I don't sell much there, but an item now and then. They've made some changes on the site, added ads, and some other small things. Since it's a totally free site, I don't mind the ads so much.

I love to list at blujay. I think it's the fastest and simplest site to list on. I also like the huge pictures and clear, uncluttered item listings pages. It's really easy to just post the same listings there as on other sites "while I'm at it"
:)

I totally understand. I have used it to list my comics for sale, while selling a few in the process. I too like the ease of listing, especially now that you don't have to renew the listing like you did in the past.

The one frustrating thing has been shipping cost. If you rely on the buyer to look at your ad and add in shipping, you are out of luck. My last three buyers paid before adding shipping, which costs me money when I have to have them resend it via paypal. I just redid (today) my shipping costs to automatically add in the shipping prices. I hope it works out. I may have my wife make an invoice for some stuff so I can see if it works.

blujay is free but it is totally up to you do do all your own promotion of your store and if you don't put in a grand effort your sales will show that and if you have the time to submit to the seo's and promote your self that is fine but most don't have the skills to do all these things.
Remember that blujay is just a venue and offers not to much other than a place to list free and the promotion of what is being sold by you and others is you responsibility to promote promote everywhere, anywhere, and anyway that is how you may get better sales if your product is in demand or a rareity, you have to ask yourself do I want to work that hard to sell ??? and is is it worth the effort??? for a few sales.

As with anything, you get what you put into it. I must admit I have put little into advertising my products, so I expect slow sales. I am not complaining about that.

I was just wondering (outloud) if the owners of Blujay were still supporting it, because I could not get in to the forums, and thought maybe it was shutting down. Turns out that may have been my slow internet connection. It does look now like it is supported, and I, for one, will continue to use it while it is free.

I hope to post more things there (and in other free places) this year. I still maintain my ads, and when I can, I make changes to my listings.

Not working right now. Is it pulled down by some official act, or is Adam working on it mid week?
