eBay are asking all International sellers to agree to a new International Selling Policy when selling overseas. This is because selling policies vary between sites and they particularly draw attention to the fact that buyer protection policies vary between different country sites.
This shouldn’t be too much of a worry to UK sellers who sell within the EU as the UK already has some of the most stringent laws to protect consumers, however it might have a bigger effect on overseas sellers supplying to the UK.
You’ll be asked to agree to the new International Selling Policy next time you list on a site other than your eBay site of registration, or when you make your items available to another site by selecting International Shipping.

| I do not even bother shipping internationally anymore. I even turned on to block all international buyers in my site preference but in the last 1-2 months, i got a few that was able to sneak past this. I did asked Ebay about it and they flat out just laugh and told me to re-check again. Lame as it was working find for years and now this?? |

| Stop selling internationally long time ago because its totally unsafe. Yet ebay;s latest seller secret newsletter had an article about how you should be selling to buyer sin russia due to the expanding economy there. LOL YES - Russia - the world capital of mobsters, hacking, scams, and the like. Surely these russian buyers can't figure out how to say their item was not as described so your seller protection does not apply. you stand to really get hosed here with having to pay express shipping on top of losing your item and the money. |

This happens about twice a year for me. Usually its a foreigner who lived here, registered here, and then moved home. If its something I won't ship overseas I just invoice enough shipping that they cringe and bail on the transaction. |
