You'll forgive me for asking (actually, don't care if you forgive or not,
come to think of it)........

Just how stupid do you think the members of PSU are?

I've gone over your "site" and aside from being singularly unimpressed
with your presentation and appearance (not to mention the horrible use
of the English language) you must think we are fools if you honestly
expect that any of us are going to send you $45 / $60 for an annual
membership to this farce (oh, and were we supposed to be lured in by
the fact that the $45 membership is a *special* cut rate deal on what is
"normally" a $120 rate or that $65 gets us in for a whopping $85 off the
regular rate of $150?

And I love the statement you make that:
WOTB Seals can increase your sales and hits by 300%

Funny, just plugging the name of your *organization* into Google brings
up nothing except your OWN WEB SITE (with the lone exception of what
is supposed to be a message from one your members on their site saying
that they have joined WOTB --- and golly gee whiz, isn't it an interesting
coincidence that the Wiigle.com homepage looks amazingly similar to the
WOTB homepage in layout and design.........).

Why would a poorly rendered 'approval seal' from a company no one has
heard of be expected to sway a buyer's decision one way or the other?

Oh, and isn't it also fascinating the the *only* other member listed in
your directory (whoosh.com) --- *happens* to be located in the same city
and if you click their link for some reason you wind up on the Wiigle.com
homepage?

As for the WOTB Seals themselves.........

Since you're hyping the WOTB on a site dedicated to people who sell on
online auctions, and the 200lb gorilla of web based auction sites is Ebay,
perhaps you would like to explain how those who sell on Ebay would have
anything to gain by joining the WOTB. Surely you can't be telling those
people they could see this imaginary 300% increase in traffic since if they
were to include a WOTB seal in their item description the listing most likely
would be cancelled by Ebay and the seller subject to possible forfeiture of
their listing fees they paid, limits put on their account, and even account
suspension.

Or did you just not do your homework or keep somewhat abreast of current
events such as Ebay's banning of the use of third-party endorsements in
seller's ads?

One final burning question about this 300% increase hype statement --
did you honestly think any experienced online merchant was going to read
that claim and not come to a WTF screeching halt? 25%, 50%, and maybe
even a 100% increase claim might have slipped by without causing the
reader to pause or raise eyebrows......but 300%??? If you're going to
fabricate information to disseminate, at least try to be plausible! LOL

Oh yes, and this hilarious quote from your homepage:
The World Most Respected Online Traders Organization!

LOL........uh, "Respected" by who?

On a side note --- if you're going to hype yourself you really really really
need to get on the ball about the grammar ("World's" not "World Most
Respected" --- BS goes down better if your targets aren't paused by bad
wording).

The bottom line: This is one of the most amateurishly executed, painfully
transparent, poorly designed come-ons I've ever seen.

I would end with a "Nice try", but even I couldn't manage to work up the
level of sarcasm necessary..........

***********************************

Hmmmm.....now that I think about it.....maybe I should
give something like this a whirl. Hey, sounds to be alot
easier than being a mere online merchant trying to make
a buck.........

What do ya'll guys think? Want my "seal of approval"?

I was wondering about the "The World Most Respected Online Traders Organization!" also.

That is a big claim if the site has a pagerank of 0

Honestly, could these people (this person?) have chosen a *WORSE*
place to try to pull something like this?

LOL..... talk about not doing your homework!

All this makes me sort of wonder too if this is a popular bumper
sticker in the Houston metro area:

I am Kind of baffled about this site, and how it can help you or your site.

Don't take this the wrong way WOTB, But I get the feeling its got take your money run written all over it.

For $45.00 per year what does WOTB do for you, that you can't do yourself?

Few things puzzle me.

You are Joining The World Most Respected Online Traders Organization! :?:

No Risk to Join and we provide 100% satisfaction guarantee! :?:

WOTB Seals can increase your sales and hits by 300% :?:

Also this does not make sense

Handling of Complaints AT WOTB:
When a complaint is received we will contact all the parties involved. WOTB member will be given enough time from 6 to 14 days to contact the consumer and resolve the issue. If after two weeks the consumer that filed complaints, contacts WOTB stating the complaint remains unresolved and there has been no offer of refund we will add the complaint to the WOTB member's page. If the consumer does not respond within 15 days the complaint will be dismissed and wiil not be added to WOTB member page. Most complaints are resolved through an offer of refund by the WOTB member or exchange of good or services by both parties.

Complaints should always be handled by the proper recognised websites.

http://www.bbbonline.org/index.asp

And why would one pay $45.00 / yearly when the sites above are a free service?

Wouldn't be a problem if WOTB had the track record to cover the claim of increased sales of 300%. But with only 2 auction sites under their belt, and no traffic at either place... its kind of hard to buy into it.

I got an approved seller logo from blacklist.com (I think that was the name) for my ebay sales some time ago. I had the required 50/100% positive fbs. And the logo only cost $2.

Anybody else wanna bet we don't hear anything else from
Ms. (Mr?) WOTB, Kelly Bush again?

No responses to anything said today --- looking more and more
like a surf-by spamming to me as the hours pass.

Maybe I should write them directly to voice my questions about
this service they are suppoedly offering.

Hmmmmmmmm..........

Dear GAELICTITCA and the rest of the members of PSU...
Thanks for bringing that to my attention, that was a webmaster error. With WOTB Seal you can increase sales by 30% not 300% ..We help market our members by promoting them in yellow pages and link exchanging them with other members sites. WOTB is a new organization design to promote quality and fair trading. With WOTB Seal, Cosumers will feel confortable doing business with you because you are a member of the world most respected online traders organization.....If you don't have nothing to do at home, don't seat at home and try to give us a bad name...
Thanks and Goodluck...

I just don't see the benefit of joining WOTB. I visited the website and was presented with a sales pitch to join. I wanted to see what the requirements for joining were and it appears it is just a fee of $45. I was expecting to see something like the BBBonline requirements. I did see a form to fill out to become a member, but it didn't ask the kid of questions the BBB asked me when I joined years ago in a personal interview. Major questions from the BBB were focused on my privacy policy. The WOTB doesn't have a privacy policy.

I wanted to see how many members they have and I found 2:
Wiigle.com
AuctionWoosh.com
There might be more because the Pets and Animals is a dead link. I did click on AuctionWoosh.com and was redirected to Wiigle.com

Since WOTB had a google search form at the bottom of their homepage, I thought I'd see how well know they are. The search came back with 1 hit (it was to PowerSellersUnite.com). When I entered BBBonline I got 749,000 results.

In my opinion, there are several other well know organizations that are worth joining that can give you immediate recognition. First is the www.BBBonline.org and www.TRUSTe.org. Notice how both are dot Orgs. There is one benefit WOTB has, cost to join is $45, the cost to join the BBBonline is $665 per year.

Well, well, well...... it decides to speak after all........

WOTB wrote (View Post): › docWrite("quote")Thanks for bringing that to my attention, that was a webmaster error. With WOTB Seal you can increase sales by 30% not 300%...

I'm not convinced by this lame excuse that that figure being thrown
out there was an error, but I will give the benefit of the doubt. On the
other hand -- if the supposedly "world most respected online traders
organization" (there's not phrase again......LOL) puts such a profound
error out there on their homepage.......well, such shoddy attention to
detail doesn't do a whole lot to inspire confidence.

WOTB wrote (View Post): › docWrite("quote")We help market our members by promoting them in yellow pages and link exchanging them with other members sites.

Gee whiz, and that goes absolutely nowhere in answering any of the
myriad questions we have raised about WOTB all day long here on PSU.

We have posed direct questions and we get rambling, poorly worded,
hype. Yellow pages? What yellow pages? A link exchange? You say
this but provide no details on it. Pie in the sky promises and all for the
ridiculous fee of $45 / $60? You must be kidding me.

WOTB wrote (View Post): › docWrite("quote")WOTB is a new organization design to promote quality and fair trading.

That is probably the first, simple, straightforward statement that you
have made. You finally say this is a "new organization". Of course
you then go and follow those words with "design" rather than "designed"
and once again show that English must not be your first language.

WOTB wrote (View Post): › docWrite("quote") With WOTB Seal, Cosumers will feel confortable doing business with you because you are a member of the world most respected online traders organization

Ahhh, there you go --- back to the company line and hype again (as
well as more of that stunning command of the English language).

I think we've poked enough holes in your claims of any effectiveness
your WOTB Seal could possibly have, and have pointed out the absurdity
repeatedly about your claims to any title of "world most respected
online traders organization".

Even after pointing out to you, more than once, how ignorant you make
yourself look by using the phrase "world most respected online traders
organization" you continue to use that phrase. Failure to correct your
mistakes and attempt to make yourself at least appear articulate in the
public eye doesn't do much to inspire confidence in WOTB.

WOTB wrote (View Post): › docWrite("quote") If you don't have nothing to do at home, don't seat at home and try to give us a bad name...

Oh, but I wouldn't have to try to give you a bad name. You seem
quite able to do that on your own, without any assistance.

As the old saying goes "You only get once chance to make a first impression"

I must say you blew yours in a totally spectacular fashion.
