Is there an easy way to find the items I have listed where eBay is charging me for upgrades I really don't need? I found by accident 7 items I was getting charge $1/mo for pictures and don't want to keep paying it on other items.
I tried to download the file through eBay only to find it didn't work with my Open Office, and I don't see a way to filter through myebay by fee amount or. |

| I would sign in and then go to my eBay then hover over account then click on seller account. Next click on Fees, and then click on Transaction type to sort and then you should be able to see what items are getting those fees added. |

Donaldjr....I have posted this many times- about Ebay charging for Gallery fees, when that option wasn't checked.
I would advise you to NEVER select Gallery as an option- Even though it may say FREE- should you list in TWO categories- the second category may not offer this FREE- and you will be charged- THINKING that it was FREE.
THEN- when you list an item (under List similar) the previous listing that you were charged a gallery fee for- THAT will be applied to the NEW listing- It's pretty sneaky how they do it.
At one time- I was refunded over $100 for Gallery fees I was charged for- but hadn't opted for.
ALWAYS look at what your final fee is- that you're being charged- each time you list- If you see that Gallery fee within your total- GO BACK and EDIT- and remove it.
Honestly- the safest way to do this- is to NEVER check the Gallery- and MAKE SURE Ebay hasn't checked it FOR YOU.
ALSO- be careful when you BULK relist- The last time I did this, Ebay tacked on $1.00 for EACH of my 25 listings- Thankfully, I caught it before I submitted it- I would have been charged an extra $25 in GALLERY fees!!
Be VERY careful. As I said- your best bet is to NEVER use the Gallery feature- even when it's FREE- you are only being set-up to be charged later...when it ISN'T free. :) Betty Lou |

Use a program such as GarageSale (Mac) to upload your auctions. Once you have your templates set you do not have to worry about it. I've never seen ebay screw with the fees uploaded by the program. You can set the program to show the fees. You can also update live aucitons without going through the ebay muti-window b.s. note: when you upload during a free listing day the program will still show the ebay listing fees, but these are not acutally charged to your account.
Yes eBay is very sneaky! I've manually gone into a alter a couple auctions before and ebay tried to change the settings for the auction by tacking on gallery. Only way to get rid of it was to delete the first free picture and reupload it. |
