Hey,

A few people have been experiencing difficulty accessing the forum. This seems to be a spotty issue for a "few days" and especially severe today with a couple of people completely unable to access the site.

Common problems are: "critical error, can't connect to database" and a .php error.

Is there anything that I can relay that might help them understand why this is occuring and when Admin will have a chance to address it?

If there's info or anything that you need from these members, please let me know and I'll bring it back to PSU.

Is it this site or another that is getting the errors?

Yes, I got the error earlier today. Wasn't for long, but I hadn't checked for a few hours. Also...I just went to reply to this and was logged out. I didn't log out, 'cause I had just posted

I don't know if this has any bearing at all...but, when I sign in and get to the front page, the peoples names that scroll on the right hand side are all across the page. They aren't scrolling but vaguely visible.

I had been here earlier yesterday morning, but then in the afternoon around 4 til after 5 I couldn't get in no way. I was the one getting the "critical error, can't connect to database" message that Lou reported.

I use Mozilla 1.7.6 for my browser on XP if that's any help. I think that was about the time I was having the problem. I was able to get back in OK later in the evening.

I'm not having problems today, but a few days ago...it was last Monday, I think, I couldn't get the forum or the PSU Stores...got both the messages mentioned. FF and IE both couldn't bring it up.

I received the error yesterday also. It's the "phpbb critical error, can't connect to database"

It only lasted for a few minutes. Probably a server reboot or temporary SQL connection problem with the hosting.

I did test some groupware software it must of used up all the sql connections while I was testing. I ended up not liking the software so hopefully the critical error won't be an issue anymore.

Hi,Thank You LurkeyLou for the PM when I tried to email you back I was getting the critical error can't connect to database message last night. I thought it was my computer so I restarted it and I still couldn't get on this site. Today I had no problem at all. E-You,Later!
