Valued Members,
First, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Ed Orlando. I am the original programmer and founder of Bidville.com. As many of you already know, Bidville was acquired by Royal Palm Capital Group in August 2003. At that time, I stepped away from Bidville and watched the new owners, managers and employees build on this great website. They did a fantastic job adding features, functionality and scalability.
It is no secret that Bidville has since met with many challenges - both financial and technological. Back in October 2006, Bidville asked me to help get the website back in shape. I donated my time from October through December. In cooperation with the other Bidville consultants and employees, we truly fixed many of the issues plaguing Bidville`s operations. We changed many policies and procedures. And, we added more new features to the site than in the past year combined. In December, I once again needed to step away from Bidville for personal reasons - my second daughter was born!
Well...now I am back and preparing to assist the Bidville staff once again. I want to take this opportunity to let the membership know that we have a solid plan on moving Bidville forward. You will begin to see a much more active management and website development team over the next few months. Projects that were begun back in October will start to be completed. New projects will begin.
We will experience some rough times. We will change some policies. Not everyone will be happy with every decision we make. However, the overall viability of Bidville needs to be our main concern. We want to make sure Bidville maintains its presence on the internet.
I love this website. I always have and always will. I believe in it. I hope to make everyone in our community a believer too.
Thanks for continuing to grow with us.
Ed Orlando, MD
Founder, Bidville.com

LOL - I am not selling there. But since I posted the negatives I felt obliged to post something positive if I see it.
I don't predict rapid improvement though :) |

I'm very, very disappointed with Bidville. By this point in its life it should have hit the airwaves with advertising. Actually it should be doing print advertising every month or every other month, as eBay does, too. Anyway, I'm there and I'll stay for a while, but I'm dropping my store down to regular, non-featured so as to limit the damages.
I don't mind when owners do announcements -- in fact, I really like it, makes me think that someone might actually still care. But when announcements are made and silence follows for months, that is what is scary  And very, very disappointing. Makes me wonder why I should care  |

I am still wondering why I tried bidville.com.
I complained about the loss of my listings and was banned.
Bidville has to much past negative for me.
I agree by now you should be well known, your chance was when feebay raised the rates last year. Where are the ads?
You/Whoever did not care what I lost just what you lost.

I tried to post facts here earlier on - got a good bashing.
But as I noticed, some of the biggest BV-defenders got really quiet.
BV has NEVER advertised and never will advertise. Who is to pay for it? Even their last investor from the Virgin Islands got cold feet and bailed out.
May Ed Orlando work a miracle :) |

That is wonderful your jumping back in, as far as me using bidville
I have had real bad experience with it. Its nice your revamping the managment, that will not help sales. Site is dead. Unless your sell
products for 1cent with free shipping, no one will buy. |
