Valued Members,
We would like to take this opportunity to update the community on upcoming Bidville developments. While we realize traffic and sales are the key components to our sellers` success, we also believe that Bidville has a few technical needs that must be addressed immediately. Once these components are fully in place, we can concentrate on bringing traffic and improving sales.
Our goal for the next two weeks is to implement the following features:
1. Item Invoicing
2. Item Shipping Costs
3. New Storefront Membership Options
Slightly longer term goals (1-2 months) include the following:
1. Express Loader Upgrades
2. Bidville Express Checkout
There are many other improvements currently in progress. The above items are the key components we feel Bidville needs to be competitive in the auction marketplace.
We will do our best to keep everyone aware of our progress.
Thanks for continuing to grow with us.

I just went in and downgraded my store to a regular. $10 a month is way too steep for no sales and no real featuring. Actually, $5 is too much for me right now, but I've decided to keep it up so I don't have to go through the hassle of re-opening later. I haven't given up totally on this site, just going into a holding pattern. So we'll see what happens in the next couple of months with these "improvements." I really get the feeling from looking at the want ads that most people are looking for cheap, cheap, cheap items. |

It looks like to me their only goal is to get the attention of ebay. Check out the banner. Click on it.

First Ed sold BV to Gerald Parker, a scammer who played the stock market and BV Sellers to the tune of a one million dollar cash out, and now it looks like he's trying to attract the attention of ebay so they can buy him out and shut down BV. How many times is Ed going to throw his Sellers under the bus before they get a clue? |

Looks to me like BV is also doing like Ioffer, who also has an anti-ebay empire cartoon. And it didn't hurt Ioffer.
Wasn't that cartoon done by PSU member??? Darn, can't remember the name!!! LRFry???? |

Some people just can't read the signs. BV may be serious about a turn around...but I'm thinking more along the tracks as you are. Make noise and Ebay will look. ( Sounds too much like Bill Gates for my liking!) |

Well, I agree that the cartoon was uncalled for and I was quite surprised to see it. But....
They just announced a day or so ago that for all who have a featured store, no final sale fees - not only for store items, but for auction items, too. I think that's a really great deal.
My sales have been slow everywhere, but I still do the best at BV and it is still the easiest site to use.
JMHO  |

| Sorry, Lindsey, it reminded me of something you had done and posted here at PSU some time ago. |

I really like the improvements made on Bidville. The new invoice is homey and more than adequate.
The addition of a shipping cost field will allow buyers to quickly know who is charging excessively to avoid fees. Bidville is moving the right direction!! |

| One more thing. Bidville featured stores are now free from Final sales fees. Never did have a listing fee, so you can choose Online Auction for $8.00 per month or $10.00 for Bidville, with your store getting at least some extra publicity thrown in at Bidville. |

| BV is a closed circuit with Sellers buying from each other. It's always been the same way it is now. There is no forward movement, just gameplaying with the Sellers. |

Just so others know. CuFF links to his YAHOO auctions on this thread. Maybe his goodwill towards Bidville can be called into question.
Do we honestly want viable alternatives to eBay? Seems that some cannot survive without having SOMETHING to complain about.
Bidville is making progress in making their site easier to use for both buyer and seller. The site has to be "stickier" before the buyers are lured to give the first look or they will be turned off and never return. One step at a time, folks. |
