Andale is launching Research 2.0, a tool that provides eBay market data such as average selling price, number of listings and success rate.
The tool uses next-generation research technology and is superior to the previous version on Andale. The company is allowing users to try it free for 30 days without the need to register or enter an email address.
Andale co-founder and Chief Technology Officer Prashant Nedungadi said five Andale engineers have been working on the tool in stealth mode for over a year.
Research 2.0 uses research clustering algorithms and semantics to bring back more accurate results. For example, a search for iPod Nano brings back listings for actual iPod Nano and excludes accessories. Nedungadi said Andale Research 2.0 also brings back more accurate results than competitive offerings from Terapeak and eBay itself.
