hey gang! remember i toldja that i axed ebay whether bidpay was still an acceptable form of payment to them, since it's changed to become more like paypal & no longer sends out MOs? and my email to ebay bounced?

well, i fingered the issue was ded. but guess what--today i unexpectedly got a reply from ebay! and here's what it sez:

Dear eBay Member,

Thank you for writing eBay in regard to you concern about listing BidPay
as your payment options.

Please be informed that you can list BidPay as your payment option from
now onwards.

In this case for more information you can click on the link given
below:-

https://www.bidpay.com/FaqSecurity.aspx

Thank you for being a valuable member of the eBay community.

Sincerely,
Mathew D.
eBay Customer Support

NPP... I hate to be a negative nilly... but that email looks fishy

it bounces back to you - and then some time later you actually get a response (with poor sentence structure ie; "regard to you concern about listing BidPay" - instead of saying "...regard to YOUR concern...") and then they actually OFFER a link to bidpay??? That'd be a first. eBay is not known to give outside links to anything outside ebay itself.

but I'm just a paranoid freak

Marty

Well, the Western Canadians should get a kick of that one. It's a standing redneck joke in Alberta (where I live) that you can buy just about anything with Canadian Tire Money. How bizarre that's it's offered as a payment method on ebay!

Hmmmmmmmm ......

Doesn't say anything about payment in Wooden Nickels!

** **

For those who don't know - Wooden Nickels are pretty valuable
piece of round wood, depends on what it is -

PS: a Rare Chicago Wooden Nickel hit nearly $15,000+ on eBay
about 4-5 years ago!
